A Strider's Tale

Glad you enjoyed it! I haven't really been working on the game recently, but every time I see some positive feedback it makes me want to get back to it!

Gambling game and more side quests in the works.

No, none of this is in the current demo unfortunately, and I'm not sure if I will be changing that any time soon.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy it, and please tell me your thoughts when you're done!

Timelord RPG

I usually use something like 25 frames.

I only played a little bit, and while it wasn't too bad so far I think you leave too much time between chat boxes.

I might have a go at doing CASTORA, BERONA. Right now I'm having a mess around with the tilesets because I'm not used to using much outside of what's included with the program. It's quite confusing trying to figure out what tiles go in which section (for me at least) but I'll figure something out so it works. Do you want one entrance from the south? or one from each side? Also do you want the village to be completely bordered all around? AND, is it okay to use shadows to show something is elevated?

Like so.

And paths. Before I go any further do you want paths to be one square? or can I get away with two and three squares (Like in the picture.)

One last thing! when you say resort town does that mean you would like the sea included somewhere?

Thank you! it looks better in motion with a gentle screen shake and moving clouds.

Never played the game :p Though I feel the need to tell you that this is actually a play being performed on a stage. Hence the crudeness of it all! (In case you didn't figure it out lol.)

Also, I'm about to download and play your RPG!

Hey man. I'd like to have a go at making some towns for you. I am new to RPG Maker VX Ace, but I do enjoy making towns and such with the program. You'd have to link me to the tileset though if you do want me to make anything. I'd like to think I'm not too shabby when it comes to mapping, it's just everything else I suck at haha. I don't have many pictures of towns I've made but feel free to check out the images from my game. Hopefully it should give you some sort of idea.

Honestly, I wont be offended if you don't like what you see.

A Strider's Tale Review

Wow what a fantastic review. I didn't expect you to go into this much detail. It was really interesting to read and I really thank you for your feedback. I suppose the first thing to do before I continue with the game is really condense down the intro and make it more exciting and gripping. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it though. I know the intro didn't really introduce much story-wise and the lack of combat really makes it more noticeable. I was hoping to make the game fairly long so in the grand scheme of things an hour long intro wouldn't seem that bad. Obviously it's a bit silly for me to expect people to enjoy the intro solely on it's own. You really seem to know what you're talking about though, so I will try and change as much as I can based around what you said. Though it would probably be quicker to start a new game haha. Any ways, thanks again and I really appreciate you taking the time to play and review my game.
