Games you hate or dislike?
If you didn't play chrono trigger until now you'll find a lot of flaws in it.
I mean, a lot.
But if you can adapt your mindset to the facts about when the game was made and the quality of the rpgs of that era, maybe you'll find a certain beauty within it.

I'd reccomend recruiting LePixelists if you're up for spending money to get quality charsets (last i checked they charge $20 for each charset). I don't think they do environmental tilesets but their charsters are pretty sweet.

Resident Evil 2 remake confirmed!

Resident Evil 2 with GOOD controls and probably a third person camera view? Colour me excited!
I personally hope they go for something similar to the gamecube remake of the first resident evil. Resident evil 2 was absolutely wonderful in terms of story and atmosphere.

I like the bird animation. The legs get a bit wonky right when it snaps the beak shut. Like, they do a two pixel jump.

The problem with a new engine is the graphical nightmares for single developers.
If you want entirely new graphics, instead of using the ones provided in the RTP, the more complex they are the longer you'll be developing them before you even go ahead with the scripting and etc.
The first time i TRIED making a game with new graphics for rpg maker xp i had to give up after an entire year of developing graphics for it. When Ace came it was even worse because the quality expected for the tiles had increased.
I'm not getting this one. I wouldn't be able to do anything outside of the RTP with it.
