New RPG Maker incoming?
I don't want to crap on Jo's initial sentence but Nintendo has already accepted various asset flips on switch. Not 2d that I've seen, but there are a couple of unity-bought asset flips in there, mostly the minecraft-looking zombie shooters. I know you specified rm asset flips but I don't think there is any line separating those from the unity ones.

Most likely gonna wait until I can get it for $25 at most like i did with MV if it does end up being something like mv+. Only way I'm buying early and at full price is if after the first day buyers are done reporting what's great and what's bad the great vastly outweighs the butt.
After all the time MV came out, I still find it less convenient than Ace in very specific, very niche things that nonetheless are such a sad dealbreaker because tbh using it for a while I find out it speeds up certain scripty things that makes doing stupid colorful shit more comfortable and you do grow on the weird tilesize when you do things like parallaxing or using big sprites, but having each of my friends have wildly different experiences thanks to varying levels of performance in what is a small game is just...
