I was thinking about that, guess it's the only way

RM2K3 Battle Timer

For my game, Project Arcadium, I'd like to find a way to calculate time in battles that would count towards to the overall playtime of the game as recorded by my clock system. Does anybody have suggestions about how one would go about this?

I'm not very familiar with VX Ace, but this sounds like an effect that doesn't necessarily have to be controlled by an item handler. I would go about it by having an event track the number of items of that type you are carrying, then when it decreases by one it activates a common event that activates a number of switches and variables that would affect the appearance of events of the map that further complicate the drunken state for the character

Hey there, I'm trying to upload a demo of my game Project Arcadium, and I keep getting resistance from the server... it always "sends request" to rpgmaker.net and then leads me to a 'problem loading page' page. Help!

This is the link to my game in development, Project Arcadium. A basic rundown on this game is that it's a traditional RPG that attempts to strike a balance between world and character development with more weight belonging to the character side of the story. The storyline, while progressing in a linear fashion, opens the player up to personal venture by featuring variable story portions in which certain parts of the story may be experienced by multiple perspectives. The game's story is dark, it gets violent, and for an RPG, I've paid special attention to making it as suspenseful and action-packed as possible through a combination of coordinated visual effects, music, sound effects, and robust, pain-staking character and world development.

While using the default RM2K3 battle system, I have added a few features such as aggressive monsters, a custom skill system, item creation, a Golden Sun-like weapon skill system, and fully custom battle character animations. Check out the page for more details
