This one recalls a memory of an old sega genesis game called Light Crusader. Cool!

I LOVE these graphics! That's such a cool style! It makes me think of an old PC game that came on a floppy disk- a badass floppy disk!

A Game Designer's Manifesto

That was a very good read. I loved the charts of character archetypes and quirks (I'm a sucker for tables!)

Also the section of dialogue was very nice.

Real life rpg

I've been in one before. It's really not that bad- it was actually a fun way to exercise more than anything. But there's always a couple of Dbags that take it too seriously or cheat that ruin it for everyone else.

And yes, the lightning bolts are foam chunks wrapped in a bit of cloth.

I haven't been in a while, and when I do go nobody wears outfits that ridiculous. Except the guy who wore the zebra head...

Don't ask.

An ATB system with a small change

Oh! Now that sounds cool. I love passive abilities, and I don't think they have really been utilized in RM games that I have played *thinks of FF 9 with a certain fondness*.

I like the idea of switching out abilities and items that are kept in a 'ready to go pouch'. It might make managing characters a bit more engaging that equipping the usual sword and shield. Nifty.

An ATB system with a small change

I thought about something like this for a sort of modern set game. Like instead of regular attacks you only had different fighting options like "punch" or "kick" that would consume MP. I wanted to just rename the MP bar stamina, really.

Altering the ATB bar seems more complex, but it sounds like a cool idea. I'd like to see what you can come up with.

So which RPG Maker versions are legal?

Aha! Cool. Once I can actually get into their site I'll check out some prices. Many thanks, kentona.

So which RPG Maker versions are legal?

Hey everyone,

It's been too long since I've been on the site (my PC is fixed once again), and I want to get started from scratch on a project, but I want to go about it in a legal way. I don't plan on selling any games, but I just feel bad that I know I've downloaded every version of their games at least once without paying.

I've tried going to their main website, but it seems to be not working atm.

And if this has been asked before (and I'm sure it has) a link would be superb. Any response is appreciated.

Thanks!
