NicoB's Let's Tries/Plays! *REQUEST YOUR GAME HERE!*

Hey guys,

I know I don't really stop by here as often as I used to, but it felt necessary to post this video here as well since this where it all really began for these LPs. It's been exactly a year since I started doing these videos, and I really have to thank you all for supporting me; and also providing me some awesome games to play as well! :) I made a quick little video looking back on how it started.

Cheers, guys. ^ ^

Forever's End

@Aurora: Yep! You will be able to return to all of the dungeons in the game (even the ones that supposedly "disappear."

Forever's End

@Kersh: Elise still doesn't fully trust Epoch, but I was trying to show that she is conflicted about it. She can tell he's an honorable guy, but she can't forgive him for his actions in Levantia. Maybe I made them a bit too chummy at certain points, but I just didn't want there to be pure hatred between them the whole time they were together (Elise is already a tough girl, and I don't really want her come across too "bitchy" towards Epoch and make her totally unlikeable).

@Aurora: Try to equip speed-based accessories so that your turn comes around more quickly. If you've gotten any of those Gaia Shards, there is an area just south of that checkpoint that will give you an item that will really help with those fights. ;)

New Save/Load menu (DynRPG)

Fantastic. Will this plugin be compatible with other projects, or is it really only suited for EJ?

Forever's End

@Aurora: Not likely. Maybe a few small changes in dialogue, but nothing substantial.

Forever's End

@Kersh: The story isn't going to be changing much, I honestly don't have the time to go back and redo every scene up until now. I know there are quite a few cliches being used in my game...I've been working on it for five years now and back when I started, I didn't really think about it very much. There are always things I think about changing, but this game is too far into development now for me to go back and redo whole sections. I've done my best to try and put a different twist on some of these ideas, but I know it isn't perfect. I guess this is the curse of a long development time (and also my first game).

Honestly though, if you haven't enjoyed any of the story or characters from the current release, you're probably not going to like the rest of it either (and I actually don't know what "love subplot" you're referring to; if you're referring to Epoch and Elise, you might be misinterpreting it).

Forever's End

@Tau: Hey I appreciate that, Tau. What would you be willing to help with in particular?

@CastorOnline: Yeah, you're right. I suppose it's been long enough now. I told myself I didn't want to make another release until I had finished Episode Two, but it's silly to have all the original music just sitting around and not being used yet. My only thing is that to release a version that's the same as this with new music does mean I will have to cut out the new content at the end (by which I mean I'd remove it entirely from the game file; sorry, but I don't want people to be able to see it in the editor). You've been very patient though, so I will get to work on it.

@eplipswich: It's true, most of my time has been taken by my job and the LPs. The videos definitely became something I never really expected, so it has thrown a bit of a wrench in game development. I'm sorry about that...despite how it may look here though, I am still working on it, albeit slower than before. Maybe I do need some extra hands to help me out....

@chana: Nope!

Maybe I should start thinking about getting some help with coding or something...I've been very reluctant to do that because I like knowing where everything is and how it works. But this game has become so massive in scale that handling on my own is honestly like trying to lift a car. I'm also having some issues with parts of the story, so maybe we could bounce ideas off each other? Tau said he might be interested, is there anyone else?

I can say at least, that for the most part, I am happy with what I have done so far and only want to focus my attention on moving forward in the game (no going back and redoing shit).

@MrDetective: (Saw your comment before you deleted it) I don't know man, something that is pretty original and isn't some type of fan game, and something more than just your typical RPG Maker game.
@Zeuzio: Those sound like some welcome changes! I will definitely keep it in mind then. Will I be able to transfer my old save or will I have to start all over again?
@hali: Oh, thank God...those secret stars were the bane of my existence. I may give it another go then (although I saw that Ghost House level was in there; that one made me want to tear my hair out).

Been awhile since I've updated you guys, so here are some of the series I've been going through these days. I'm also nearing 2k subscribers as well, so woohoo!

If you're looking for a nice alternative to Minecraft, check out Don't Starve, a grueling survival game with some charming artwork and characters. It's still in beta, but it has a ton of potential and receives new content regularly!

Don't Starve LP

Another game that has truly been a joy to play through is The Cat Lady. It takes all of the fun of point-and-click adventure games and wraps it in a dark but completely engaging story. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend giving it a looksie.

The Cat Lady LP

Or if you're up for something totally out there, check out Slendytubbies. It's exactly what it sounds like: Slender and Teletubbies mashed together. Definitely a bizarre one, but still pretty hilarious.

Slendytubbies LP

I hope you all enjoy. Stay classy, guys!

Hey, it's Nico! :o

Just out of curiosity, are you stopping your Vagabond LT as well? It's come a long way since when you played it last. Even the TP thing has been fixed! Either way is fine, but I'd like to know whether or not I need to stop holding out for the next update. '^-^

I don't know man. While I'd love to continue it for Slimey's sake, I did have a lot of issues with it. The battles were too difficult, and I never felt like I was progressing at all after each fight, which really made battles feel pointless. Can you tell me what exactly you changed this time around?

Crap, sorry I haven't responded guys.

@tmrev: Wow, that actually looks pretty awesome! I might just check that out, thanks!

@bulmabriefs: Sorry buddy, but I'm gonna say no that one.

@Mr_Detective: I do! The standard has gone up a bit since I started, but I do try to give each game that is requested a good hard look before I decide whether to play it or not.

@hali: Sorry, buddy. I didn't mean to ignore your message. I've been getting a lot of messages these days, it's been a bit difficult to respond to everyone. Hmmm, I'm not sure. While there were definitely some stellar levels among the....other ones from SRB3, I'm not sure I want to go and replay all the ones I've already done. But I know you're a Mario connoisseur, so I'm sure you picked out some awesome ones...let me think it over. I also appreciate your continued support and comments in my videos. It really means a lot; just wanted you to know it hasn't gone unnoticed. :)

@SnowOwl: It's true that I have definitely gotten a bit pickier about the games I play these days. A lot of it though is audience appeal. I didn't continue Miserere not because I wasn't enjoying it, but because it wasn't getting many likes or views, which told me people weren't enjoying the series. I try my best to send out content that most of my audience will enjoy (and that I enjoy), but it can be pretty difficult to figure out sometimes. I still try to stick with lesser known games, preferably indie ones, because I think those are the ones people enjoy seeing.
