Yes, because anyone who disagrees with you is illiterate and incapable of using reason. Besides, after this stunt I don't think you're exactly a subject matter expert on class.

I'm not a site owner, also; you have yet to explain what's wrong with:

"I don't like how this site is being run, so I'm moving my future games, thanks"

Gamejolt has a few crappy and/or new unpolished games in the front page, but it emphasizes three featured game, high rated games, and the latest blog updates. It's forums aren't hugely active; but it has regular interesting contests that produce content of merit. It encourages participation and development. Meridian Dance as it stands now is a small grouping of friends sharing blog and hosting space.

This is what I posted before you. Again. Read.

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

This is probably just ironic timing but it appears content on Gamejolt must share the frontpage with Sonic Vs. The Recolors 2. This Sonic parasite knows no bounds.

I find it ironic that the owner of this site lacks the capacity to read, and any form of class, for that matter.

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

Please don't kid yourself into thinking you're making a point by announcing to RMN that you're no longer going to take advantage of their free hosting for your RPGMaker game. This is childish and stupid. But to each their own I suppose.

I'm moving my game, wait... I'm moving my FUTURE game's hosting.

May I ask what part of this is "stupid" and "childish"? I've already stated explicitly that the former incident isn't the sole reason for moving my game, so please, please explain.

Yes, because the MD frontpage is so much better than ours!!!!

...It is, but ok.

You do realize that we are releasing a new design soon, with a new frontpage and that your game was probably going to be the first featured game for RMN4.

Oh well, there certainly are other games that wouldn't mind "sharing" the frontpage with "inferior" games.

This has been coming for some time now by the only staff member who actually does something of value. If you'd care to look at gamejolt's page, or even care enough to exercise even basic cognitive reasoning you'd see what I mean.

Hell, if I werent so lazy I might have probably just been an affiliate of Meridian Dance and had my own tumblr blog for my game, or maybe just ask MD to host the game for me. It's "stupid" and "childish" because I'm taking my game to Meridian Dance, and you assume I agree with every single thing they've said / done just because I'm friends with them.

In all honestly I don't get this weirdo rpgmaker elitism, theres a fine line between it being just a hobby and for it turning into some strange fixuated obession. If you want to fulfil your own ego and unwarrented selfimportance, just to circle jerk on meridian dance then go for it! We just won't take you seriously anymore.

If what you said were actually the case, I would have pulled all of my projects from this site and would have not even bother making this announcement.

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

In business news, videogame company SquareEnix have announced that their games will no longer be sold in high-street stores. In a statement released earlier today, the company said that, "We don't want our games sharing shelves with titles like "Just Dance", because we're obviously better than that". Shares in the company plummeted after the announcement...Can you even begin to imagine this happening? If I think that someone is being childish, something must be up.

I'm not sure if you were always this retarded or if a brain parasite burrowing its way into your skull is to blame, rest assured you have my condolences.

Had this site been managed better (and a healthy dose of fumigation) I would have no reason to leave. If you want an idea of what I mean, you can look at gamejolt or if you're lazy, just it's front page layout.

Why move to Meridian dance? There's not really alot going for it.

It's another place to host my game.

I have a lot of friends there.

My game doesn't have to share a front page with the LCPANES TERMINAL and Heartache 101 ~Sour into Sweet~.

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

More schmup rebellion or whatever?
I'm too new to really grasp what's going on here, but my first impressions are that there's a lot of quitfagging going on because some oldbies don't like this or that. Too bad. Some of you have a lot of talent and I'd hate to not be able to track it down when I start my VG company.

I didn't participate much in that debate, and it annoyed me as much as you. My reasons for leaving, and the the reasons for many of the others stem far beyond the actions of the site's staff that one day.

I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed in you, NB. This site has been pretty good to you, I think. You have a lot of fans here, some of whom were even willing to donate money to you to see your work continue.

My work is continuing, so I fail to see how I've slapped anyone. Though I wonder if the response be the same if I had chosen to host my game on an independent tumblr site? Oh well.

What happens next, for real this time

Yeah...

Wait, what?

Progress Report, + Call to Testers

I'll play test for you.

What happens next

The bottom line is - if you're thinking about making a Phantom Legacy-like game with custom graphics, then stop. Stop immediately, unless you like being disappointed with yourself and your work. Bitter? Maybe, however I'd say realistic given the evidence in the game making world. I say keep doing what you've been doing and do it well. As for little feedback on PL, to change it you need to advertise the shit out of it EVERYWHERE. Posting it on just on RMN will generate very few comments. Why do you think Barkley and that Craze game and Space Funeral got popular? Because people talked about them on sites that have nothing to do with RM. You may loathe hype or marketing, but it's the only way to make your game popular and PLAYED. Oh, and just posting about it is not enough, you need to get people hooked with some clever marketing tricks. What tricks? I don't know, I don't hype :)

You're under the assumption that I was planning to make an RPG when I haven't even decided what I'm doing next. I know this much though, I'm not going to attempt making something advanced like an RPG with my first game-maker game.
