Just a little thing, while I know the game isn't big on story, maybe you could put the spoilers in a spoiler tag if reviews allow it, or at least give a warning before them.
It makes me happy to see my little game getting attention.

Thanks for your help and continued interest, kory_toombs. I know about the bug and have the script to fix it. But that particular square symbol is not there because of the junk font bug, but because the custom font I'm using lacks whatever sign is suposed to appear between the items and their amount. I just decided to live with it and leave the square symbol alone. :P

I made the game in a couple of days, that's my excuse for the empty shelves and windowskin, but you're right I should have been less lazy. :P
