and I used to be completely fluent in French (Francais Canadien, non?), but I haven't spoken in it in years so now I've almost completely forgot it.

I'm myself deep into the logo creation. :P I think your logo is very good, especially the idea ; but I would have a few commentaries... You say "I chose the monkey", dude I was not thinking of a monkey until you write it down. I was thinking of a strange being with a tail. ^^" Perhaphs because the face shows no ears. I think the tail breaks the round shape of the C. I would have put nothing outside of the C to have a logo more "concentrated" "clustered" "gathered" (I'm sorry I don't have the correct word for what I want to say ^^"). Last critic, I'm not fan of the gradation on the text. It's "too much".
Anyway the idea of putting the detached part of the C in blue and the rest in black is really great, and your technical skill is perfect.
By the way I wish you a good luck for your project!

Great choice of colors! And great drawing.
But 3 commentaries:
- The neck is a bit thick
- The ambient lightning on the hair is OK but you should put it on the hat and the jacket too.
- The hat should be a little more pushed on the head.

I come to RMN for ENGLISH PEOPLE (you cannot beat this assertion xD).

ABORTION: IS IT EVIL???
I personally think that a life doesn't have in itself a "value". Even I'm christian (in a very "liberal" way), in my opinion the "baby" (embryon) that die goes directly to "heaven" or to the "nothingness" (if you're not a believer). A thing has a value just because another thing (a person) gives it one. When someone die you're sad because you have lost something, you're not sad because "that poor man has lost his life"... So a baby that die has "nothing to regret". And as a consequence I am to allow abortion. All these teenage pregnant girls, all these raped women, it would ruin their lifes. So I prefer one "great" life than two sad ones.
To sum up, in my opinion you cannot talk about abortion without thinking first of what is really "death" (and there is nothing to regret when you're dead). I know my words are rude but I think philosophy cannot be obstructed by sensibility.
