Super Desmo Bros. Review
reminds me of kaizo mario a little. i'll have to check this out as i am a sucker for mario gameplay
oh and if you want to rage at mixed graphics check out the second reality project 2. i'm really having fun with it despite it ripping from the first sonic the hedgehog and various other sources. there's a level in which you have to outrun a giant saw i'm pretty sure was ripped from the home improvement licensed game

The drawbacks of teams far outweigh their benefits. Not to be all "FU I'M RITE" but there is an awful lot of experience here. Unless you're one of the lucky 1% who can find team members or partners you can UTTERLY rely upon (like Anaryu and his WIFE or um....Karsuman and Craze) it is a really really really really bad idea to make YOUR ability to advance your game dependent on someone ELSE'S talents or contributions. 10+ years of game design experience speaking here.
i completely disagree with this. there are a lot of reliable, talented collaborators out there (maybe more in other places than the RM scene but they do exist).
if you find them, if they like your project and if you treat them with respect and give them the necessary room to do what you brought them on board for, it'll be the glue that holds your team together. you just have to be able to trust people to do what they say they're going to do, which is hard sometimes, especially on the internet. but if you're willing to take the considerable risks associated with teamwork over the internet, you could reap huge rewards as a team and do things that you might not be able to handle solo.
it's definitely something that you have to assess on a per-project basis though.
Favorite dungeon music GO.
i like a lot of the stuff that's already been posted so i'll try to find stuff that isn't in this topic yet

CAUTION pungent opinion coming through
idk what my deal can really be attributed to but after thinking about it a lot i've come to the conclusion that i am post-burnout (weird terminology i know).
i don't know how to explain it well but hey (if you didn't know) i've been working on the same project off and on for about four years, and the stretch from 2006 to about late 2008 was the time when i really, really felt the impulse to quit and do something else. i did some minor things but it always came back to some incarnation of this current project.
i guess it was around 2009 that i must have subconsciously decided that not only was quitting beyond the pale, this project and the word "quit" don't even fire the same synapses. i never really think "hey there bags mcclellan you know what you are....a loser. j...just quit. > delete HELLFILE.GMK" etc. it's just there and there's a terrible and humongous list of things to do and quitting is near the bottom right above "add good/evil morality system"
it's really fucking weird. i don't know if i found like a groove or what. could be that i actually worked OTHER THINGS into my schedule imagine that. whatever green lectern nerd superpower i've got going on it's clearly working though

Guys, don't forget to help out you fellow game makers by TV Troping it up!
a good one that probably applies to most games you could put up there is Informed Equipment
