NGP/PSP2

I'm a big Sony supporter in general despite all the retarded decisions they've made over the years, and would love to have an NGP. But if it's going to cost >$300 USD, I'd rather stick with my PSP-2000 and save the money to buy a PS3.
Anyway, Sony at least needs a new Monster Hunter on board for the NGP to survive in Japan. I'm hoping Capcom sticks with them instead of jumping ship for the 3DS. In the long run, if they could somehow make handheld online gaming really work, they could carve out a (again mostly-Monster Hunters) niche in the market.
Handheld online gaming= Apple I-pod.
As for your Monster Hunter comment, I don't think they need it. They just actually need more games in general. Their current release rate of games is horrible at the moment just for the PSP's out now.
It seems to have quite a bit of technology inside, despite the fact we don't know anythig about it too much. But it was a very interesting and stupid move to release it out of nowhere. Next the PS4 will randomly appear.
But yes, it has quite a few interesting Features, and cool tocuh screen interface, and no 3D, therefore, lowering the intial price of the product. However, I hope they don't make the mistake they made with the first PSP's and completely focus on features instead of games, because that's really hurting them. I mean, I know I said above that they have a lack of games, but most of the current PSP library is crap and so is the PS3's, so they need to focus on gaming more console, and portabloe wise. Oh and a little off topic with the PS3, but Blu-ray is dead/dying. So fanboys can't use that as an excuse toward Xbox 360 fans, or DS fans.
Update: I also forgot to mention the fact that I believe they want this to be download only. I really hope they change that because this idea has already failed them and adding thousands of dollars of inside parts and features isn't going to help that fact. Remember the PSP-Go?
Hello, I need some quick advice.
Actually, I now have a new question. If I use the caterpillar script, the party member(s) follow you. My problem with this is say that you don't want the player to follow you until a certain point in the game? Then what do you do?
Hello, I need some quick advice.
No, I thought there was away to do it without the script. Because in Rpg Program 2003, I can get the co-player to follow just fine without scripts or switches. Is the only way to do this with XP is by scripting? Because i don't want to have to script multiple times for like 2 characters.
NGP/PSP2
Sony has gotten official with the PSP2 we've been hearing so much about, but there's a name change. Now the handheld gaming console is referred to as the Next Generation Portable, or NGP.
As expected, Sony debuted the gaming system in Tokyo yesterday. There have been rumors swirling about what this device would look like, including an AMOLED display and 3G support.
According to The New York Times, 3G is definitely there, but the AMOLED screen has been traded for a 5-inch LED panel. Other specs include front and rear cameras, two sets of button controls and motion sensors. With the exception of an announcement about the PlayStation Suite, an app store for PlayStation games, the rest of the NGP is shrouded in mystery.
For those wondering when this was going to come out and thought they were not going to make it, Sony decided to randomly make this appear out of nowhere. I have no info so far as to what the japanese launch games are. If any at all.
Update:
Specs include a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks (not nubs as on the current generation), 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, the same accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing as in the PlayStation Move, an electronic compass, and cameras on both the front and back. Available this holiday season. Wait... what?!
Sony NGP detailed hands-on
Hello, I need some quick advice.
Yeah, but I need XP for the games sequel. Then VX for the sequels sequel.
I tried the "Follow Hero" and strangely enough, he ran around in random circles while coming at me at the same time. Which would be fine but I would like him to kind of not move when I don't move, and of course, stay behind me 100% of the time. Hopefully this doesn't require some kind of weird switch.

Hello, I need some quick advice.
Ok, so I am using the program Rpg Maker XP. I need some advice as to how to have a second character follow you around the map. I would prefer if you could also walk through second character. Hopefully, there is a fast and easy process for this.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I may use it for some of the other games I am making. As it does have the same concept. However, for a game that involve danger this tileset is way TOO colorful.
However, the tileset used in the screen is only used for a short time so don't worry to much about it. But I will be using the tileset you showed me in diffrent games. Very useful.

author=kentonaauthor=RaekwonThe rips are really poor, and the house are too shallow. Try increasing the depth of the houses a tile or two.
I have some better rips for the FF6 chars somewhere.
EDIT:
http://rpgmaker.net/users/kentona/locker/FF_CharSet.zip
here they are. This is just the charsets I had gathered for Runelords. There are some edits in there, and probably still a few bad rips, but there is also charsets to replace that dragon statue in there.
I may thow in some tilese for the buildings as they could be a tad taller. Everything else is supposed to be like a classic RPG. Hense, why I am using 2K3. It makes it easier to make games look like older Rpgs.
