RAMZA'S PROFILE
I've spent a large part of my 26 years designing video games, mostly in my head. When I discovered RPG Maker 2000, I finally had a medium to put my thoughts down into, and I did.
At the time of its release, Mana Conquest was massive - even a ten hour long game was insane in those days, and the graphics kind of sucking was generally overlooked, due to the scope of the project.
Several years since, and I'm a bit embarrassed concerning how bad the first game really was. I've tried to fix that in the sequel, but between when I started, and now, there have been three new RPG Makers, and since they don't allow backwards compatibility, I've been stuck on RM2k3. Shameful.
I've come too far to quit now, though.

You also forget one ten thousandth of half a million plus the integral of two thousand multiplied by a unit day/night cycle curve over 24 hours is still far more than about 80.

In the interest of logic you could just... still follow the project pretty easily?
Indeed.
I don't know shit about what's going on here. I know there weren't a lot of updates on this project lately, and I've been keeping away from the forums because of laziness, so I know nothing of personal grievances or goings on here of late.
For what it's worth, however, it was nice to read the discussion in this "project page" when it was regularly updated. Regardless of where WC decides to move, or why, that won't change the fact that this engine is badass, and will redefine what rpg maker games will be in the future. I will follow it wherever it ends up.
Demo Video
yeah, if you have the ability to do this, as well as continue moving during text boxes active, you can make npcs who randomly say things as you get close to them, and stop as you get further away. Chrono Trigger is a good example of a game that does this.

I think you should make the window stretch to at least be able to hold the maximum amount of text you can put into a field. The soul gem kinda runs off the side of the window there.
otherwise it looks more neat than the other screenshot.

Status effects that last a set number of global turns, not a set number of that characters turns would be rad. Currently, getting paralyzed is pretty much game over if you don't have someone else in the party to cure it.
Mana Conquest
Yeah, that's the messenger. I have a habit of being online but appearing offline to avoid talking to my annoying real life friends though. So if you plan to talk to me on that, just shoot me a message at random times and I'll be around. XD
1) crap
2) Uhh, Vernan cannot use the Cross Helm, so it's the best helmet he can use until you go into the cavern... I think.
3) The upper floor of it self destructed. I considered turning it into a big crater to visually show this, but the lower floor was still in tact. Vatu was actually located on the top floor.
4) The attack power on the new sword is much higher, but fighting things weak against dark element causes the previous weapon to be better. Knowing my dumbass self, I probably made all the enemies in the Morax Caverns weak to holy too. XD

hmm
according to the monster database, that boss shouldn't spam the dark flame attack. I didn't make it so he uses it every so many turns, but the priority on it is low. he shouldn't use it more than once every 5 rounds or so (if it does I guess we could call it bad luck). as bad as it sounds, you should be able to revive two dead people after they were killed the previous round, if you have enough revival powders, anyway. So worst case scenario is to revive melissa and mary every round, and have melissa fully heal herself and vernan on her turn, (if she can). I think based on your suggestion, a training area may be a good addition to help solve this problem though. Keep at it, you're so close, though.
edit:
if you use the MAG up spell, it will increase your resistance to magical attacks, like the one this boss uses (if you have it). It may even be more effective than the barrier spells, I'm not entirely sure if these actually have a noticeable effect on spell resistance.
