I have been working on new menus, rewritten them from scratch. tho I had one already working. When you create UIs you nearly go nuts, literally. Or maybe just me, I was losing patience. But after 3 weeks of grind I have em done. All sections are working. I just need to implent menu from test project where I created it to main project.

Sweet! I like how much is happening here. Is that a picture of her? I think your pixel related skills improved. It looks both clean and vivid.
when i decided for main character i created several hairstyles and i choosed just 1. I decided I will make the others unused sprites of her as wall paintings all around the game world. you can call it easter-egg or something like that.

Introducing of rare monsters! I had bad luck while recording, trust me :) when I didnt record it was more frequent. By the way there are stockable items, yes stockable effect, which increases the chance to find these creatures. I am sure it can drop something flashy and neon. I also separated color of name displayer in the right bottom corner, isnt the purple more sexy ? Maybe I will add some kind of bestiary for this purpose... Hm.

I actually just checked your game out the other week. What's the status on gamepad support? ;) I couldn't really get into it due to the lack of it.
There's gonna be gamepad support, maybe x box controller too. But not anytime soon, very later.
God damn it I have an XBO controller in my hands right now.

Alright, then I guess it's a must. Game will support classic analog gamepad /such as Logitech and also XBO controller. But doh I will have to buy this Xbo pad so I can test things out ! X_X (Tho I dont need XBO for anything). I don't want to spam this thread with chit chat about my lamevania rpg, so I end now. I give place for others. *Wondering how is JosephSeraph progressin' on his project.

I am adding new enemy every week. This week is done, wonder which one I will add the next one.

The movement feels nice, and combat is handling quite well, I'm curious about how a sword with gems would handle.
Graphics and sounds are great and go well with each other. I'd like to be more specific but I'm bad at reviewing that way. x3

For bugs, just to point out, would be silly to count those as bad in a alpha build...
I found out that if you die before getting a save-point you'll get stuck in loading forever, and if you pause to heal while the boss is starting it's ball-ranged attack he'll cancel it and just hover there for it's duration time.

All in all, a real solid alpha that confirms the game's large potential. Subscribed and awaiting for updates. ^^
save bug is known, boss bug is something I should look into ! Thanks for pointing this one out.

Ended up working on Game Maker studio, after several tutorial-hours and tamperings with the tutorials code, got a platforming 'engine' heavily based on dustforce, and put a gun in it.



Although I have my base ideas/inspirations, the game itself is not set on stone yet, for now I'll refine the platforming and try to craft enemies that shot back.


Any engine which is not so RM-limited is great for this kind of game. Now you can create anything that you think of without limits.

i added more lush to the world. I wish that I coded the entire thing diferently, but most of stuff is hard-coded so it limits me with 4 layers for parallax bg, well it works "somehow" with this limit.
