I'm going to stream for the first time ever in a few hours. Got any tips on how to make the stream suck less?

CloseLong story short: Life's been kicking my ass for a while, and I want to try something I've never done before in an attempt to de-stress. Since I feel like I don't hang out with you all enough, why not try to stream a game and talk about games, gamedev, and whatever you all want to chat about? If all goes well, maybe we'll all have a good time. Or maybe you can laugh at my terrible gamplay? Either way seems like a win, so why not?

Just be yourself and don't worry if you find a bit of dead air happening. Use that time to talk about whatever chat brings to your attention, or about the game - things you like, didn't like, etc.
Think of it more as talking with a bunch of friends and have fun.

Not bad, actually! I wanted to play and talk about Tales of Berseria, but that game is still blocked from streaming without a capture card, so we had to go with Nier: Automata instead. We chatted a little about game design here and there, talked about Nier and its wacky cannon, and generally had a chill time.
It was very obviously my first stream, so I wasn't exactly sweeping the crowd with my charisma, but it was fun, nonetheless.
