@omnimatt: The RTP is free to download and install I believe. What is the error you're getting exactly? And have you tried downloading the w/ RTP version? If installing the RTP doesn't work, then downloading the w/ RTP version should, and if it doesn't, tell me and I can see what's happening.

The Green Ribbon is back in the castle (the Library Helper that tells you about it says it's there). It's in the sleeping quarters which is past the magic room and down the stairs. If you have trouble finding doors, press S I think to turn on your arrows that indicate where the doors are. :)

Looking good! I just have one suggestion: I can see a few spots where Pat's colors are bleeding out from his lines (check his hood and cloak part with the bells on it). I'd also say check his hair too cause a few spots are a bit bleed worthy but I might be seeing it wrong.

Have you talked to the one that actually talks to you (the one that admits to summoning the Phantom?)? I should write up a write-up for that map because the caves make it a bit confusing to find them.
Clash of the portrait styles!
I really wouldn't put out two different versions of the game just to have one with FE portrait edits and your own art. That's really silly and more time consuming than it needs to be (and really, don't even listen that guy who mentioned that to you--he's a dick, trust me). You still have room to grow as an artist, but just because of that one comment, you shouldn't go "well jee, I should just have two versions so I appeal to everyone!". Stick with your Original Art, it will pay off in the end, BELIEVE me.
Have you tried making your original art resized so it's smaller (more closer to the size of the FE portraits?) so they don't have that blown up look?
Another idea is to take your FE portraits, print them out, and trace over them for the proportions. And keep doing that until your proportions are a bit more in sync with the style and then try again on your own and use the FE portraits as a guide to guiding you to doing better proportions (smaller heads, etc.). There are many ways to grow as an artist here and I don't think releasing two versions of your game is going to help. It'll just be more work for you in the end.

Did you try following the strategy in my wordpress? He can be put to sleep if that helps (put him to sleep, heal up, prepare, etc.).

No, because I have to play games to see that I like them. I don't have any preferences, and I am speaking of this site specifically.
But you DO have preferences. You already told us one: you don't like Anaryu games. So what draws you to other games that you've played and liked? It's hard to suggest games to someone who already has preferences and won't be upfront about them and shoots down what people suggest.
