ROWAN'S PROFILE
Rowan

I'm just a guy interested in making an RPG. I started using RPG Maker way back in RM2k days. My first game was wiped out when my old CPU crashed so yeah.. I decided to make a new one and have been working on it ever since. I mostly enjoy lurking around the RMN forums but I've decided to become more active in the community. I can be a smart-ass at times, but I'm generally an easy going friendly dude.
P.S: Oh yeah, I'm gay (seriously)

E3 2010
post=143557
After 5 minutes of research, I discovered that they scaled it back in 2007 because they were annoyed that bloggers and other non-professionals were getting in on the E3 action, and E3 became by invite only (although they still had an indie gamer section). Attendance was 10,000, down from 60,000. 2008 scaled back further, and had an attendance of 5,000.
Finally, they scaled it back up again, even bigger than before in 2009 and got an attendance of 40,000.
I miss those days with all the lights, bass, technology, and breasts.
Languishing Projects
This is one of the reasons why I work on one project and only one. Creating additional projects while in the process of creating another only hurts development time and dedication. If the dev just cannot let go, they should analyze their projects, see if there are any salvageable ideas and/or elements, and try to figure out a way to implement them in their most active project (if time permits).
In comparison, instead of creating a new project for every leet idea, the dev should write it down somewhere for later use.

Hello everybody!
Where will you be in 10 years? (Discussion)
Deus Ex HumΔn Revolution
Questions you always wanted to ask other members, but felt too lazy or awkward to do so.
Outside of very easy to cook meals. "Eggs, Spaghetti, Mac and Cheese" I'm generally not that good at cooking. I'll say with confidence though that I can skillet some mean Bacon. mmm yum.
"Hey kid. Where's your mom?"
Depending on the game's universe; Instead of thinking of an elaborate way of killing them off, It's just as simple to have a protagonist or their family check up with each other every now and then (through mail, carrier pigeon or something). In pokemon gold/silver, the mom constantly calls the hero to check up on him.(You can 2 if your want to)
The MC dies! Game Over.
Banon, Arisato Minato or Seta Souji would had love to have read this thread.

I find this a very forced way of implementing strategy in RPGs, but still pulls it off quite nicely. Don't worry you can still use those 99 Phoenix Pinions or other maxed revival items you saved up for other characters.

Right now this is my most anticipated game in RMN.
I honestly wish I can show you guys more then just pretty screens, but I am deadset on getting these systems done first. I know many RM games have a bad history of "Nice screens, but no release," (especially if you've read Soliatyre's article), but please bear with me. It's getting there.
