SAILERIUS'S PROFILE
Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home.

Why is it so terrible to steal resources from RM games when it's perfectly okay to steal from big-name games? Theft is theft and this double standard is ridiculous.

What's the new Featured Game?
Does a game's download size matters to you?
File size doesn't matter. Especially if you have custom music and graphics, it's to be expected that the file size is large. This is especially true in XP and VX when you can use alpha transparency and high quality audio.
On the scene
Most people have migrated to XP and VX, which offer far more sophisticated controls (such as the ability to write code directly instead of having to fuss with events), but there are a handful of people who still use 2k3. The big sites for RM development aside from RMN are HBGames.org (previously RMXP.org and before that, RMXP.net) and RPGRevolution.com. Of the two, HBGames has a more mature community and a stronger emphasis on the development of art assets (such as sprites and tilesets).
Welcome back to the community! You'll find that some pretty impressive games have been made in the time since 2k and even more impressive games are still being made.

Is grinding a flaw in rpgs?
Grinding as a requirement is a terrible design flaws in games. If your combat system is fun, players will actively seek out battles on their own. If players are not actively seeking out battles on their own, requiring grinding is forcing them to do something they don't want to do - which directly contradicts the point of a game.
