Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home.

What do you think happened to me?

where will you be going when rmn shuts down?

No idea where I'll be. I'll be lurking at RRR and .org like always, I suppose. I'm hoping a movement starts up to create a replacement, because there's nowhere like RMN.

For anyone who wants to keep up to date on my projects, my blog is here: http://projectbc.wordpress.com

RMN Closing Down April 2nd

That really, really sucks. I haven't been active here for long but I'd already started to love this place. I met a lot of great and interesting people here.

Where are we going from here? No other RM site has RMN's focus on content and projects (even if the way it was presented might be flawed, the idea is a step in the right direction).

RMN Bugs (v3)

There seems to be a bug where comments on one of my blog posts are not showing up under Latest Posts on the front page.

http://rpgmaker.net/games/1046/blog/4419/ is the blog in question.

Here's a screencap of the timestamps of the comments and the front page:

The two comments should have appeared between the top two posts on Latest Posts but didn't.

First of all, I haven't finished Metal Gear Solid. >>;

I understand your point, but I think you're missing what I'm getting at. I'm intending to have it so that after you beat the game (there is a New Game + feature), it unlocks all the new story options. However, I want people who have played through the original already to be able to go straight into the new story routes without having to replay the main scenario if they want to. In the hypothetical option asking you whether or not you've played the game before, it won't change the ending you get, it will just enable the choices that normally aren't enabled on a first playthrough.

I can't think of an implicit method in the game that will enable people who have played it before to unlock the new options, but if you can think of one, that'd be great.

PAX East!

http://east.paxsite.com/

It was a blast last year, even if the con center was bursting to the seams with people and you needed to get in line two hours before any panel if you wanted to get in. Luckily, the venue is bigger this year and the schedule line up looks great.

Who else is going?

I had thought of that originally, but it seems unnecessarily complicated and makes little sense in-game. What about the choice doesn't seem like a good idea? It'll simply be recommended that new players say no and specify that it won't adversely affect their gameplay experience.
