Something happened to me last night when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go. I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky. It was moving irregularly. Suddenly, there was intense light all around. And when I came to, I was home.

What do you think happened to me?

September can't come soon enough!

I would also vote for the tileset. Good scifi tiles are quite difficult to come by and they're time-consuming to make yourself and expensive to commission.

Ars Harmonia submitted to the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store!

Thanks much, guys! It's been an incredibly demoralizing past two weeks porting the game to mobile, because it's all been work that no one will ever see or care about. But the game works now, and now we can finally rest after a few 15 hour days working on the port. >_<

Time to sleep for a week...

Ars Harmonia previewed on Jayisgames!

Thanks much! I'm very pleased with how well we're doing. We took the "safe" route of entering something related to Vacant Sky, which I was banking on bringing more eyes than a totally original entry.

I plan to check out you guys' entry sometime next month - we're currently cramming to get the game ported to mobile in time for the Unity contest deadline this month.

And yeah, I know VNs aren't for everyone. It's a pretty niche/weird game, but a kind I've been wanting to make for a while, and a contest was a good excuse to do something totally off-the-wall.

Wow, what a way to start my week.

I eat my words.

I can't handle this roller coaster of emotions!

Why I cancelled Vol II of Enelysion...

I know that feeling and it's probably for the best that you made that decision. I ran into a similar problem when working on Vacant Sky: pretty much the entire plot was rewritten after the original Act I came out and going back to correct it later set me back more than a year when I could've spent that time on something new.

On to bigger and brighter things!

Turn-Based no more.

I also came expecting giant robots and was very confused.

There's one thing I'm wondering, is making 3D models this way actually cheaper than making the game world tile-based similar to VS1? I thought that making it grid-based and sticking to 2D-art was one of your reasons to cut the costs of VSA?

Yes, it is. We're able to make the models ourselves, which makes it come at no cost, whereas doing VS1-style graphics would probably set us back around $20,000-$30,000.

At some point, sure. I'm quite exhausted after the sprint we made to bring this all together and I'm going to take a short break to recover.
