I made idea generators

This is actually pretty good! I was thinking "Oh great, another name generator, like we don't have a million of those!" but this thing is giving me some amazing results! I'll be entertained for hours just clicking through this!

Some examples for everyone

You are to rescue an attractive poet in a fiery ship south-east of the grand town. Along the way you will need to collect four flowers to complete the mission. Inside the fiery ship you will find two treasures of a brutal nature.

Julianna Rambo is the name of the attractive poet. This poet is proficient with daggers and can usually be found in isolation due to the loss of a loved one.

You are to escort inspirational warrior to a icy fortress west of the grand castle. Along the way you will need to negotiate with an attractive landlord to fulfill the mission. Inside the icy fortress you will find several switch puzzles.

Clorinda Pulfer is the name of the undefined warrior. This warrior is proficient with staves and can usually be found in bed chambers.

I say, once the Summer Games are over, we run a game making contest based on this generator!

2011 RMN Summer Games

All I will say is that the plot for my game centres around a cancer patient.

Nothing Is Perfect

While perfection doesn't exist, a 5/5 score does. A 5/5 score does not equal perfection, for me it equals a game that, not only did you thoroughly enjoy, but that you would happily play again and even recommend to friends and family.

Kobra's Realm/Corner creator arrested for hacking

At least WIP wouldn't send the FBI's Twitter page a message saying "Hey, I just commiteed a crime, go check that shit out. Pretty damned cool."

Fat NPC's/Heroes

Makes it more weird!

I want to request a fat sonic sprite, it's for my post modern look at the rise and fall of sonic the hedgehog. The premise deals with sonic being unemployed and all alone in his apartment, watching tv all the time in his boxers and getting drunk at the local bar. One day he catches a tv interview featuring Mario talking about his latest movie (I mean) game. Incensed with rage/jealously/self pity he embarks on a mission to turn his life around and to finally end his bitter rivally with mario once and for all.

Also includes Shadow the hedgehog as a drug addict and Amy as the lead singer in a japenese girl band. Tails died in a alcohol related accident whilst trying to impress sonic.

Edit: Even if this post was intended as a joke, I somehow actually want to have a go at making this thing. o.o

You should make it so that when Sonic arrives at Mario's mansion, Mario comes out all Scarface with a tommy gun, wearing a white suit with a ton of cocaine down the front of it!

Do you have real friends?

I think Feld gets what I was saying really well. My definition of a friend is someone who has your back in any and every situation, and of course, the favour is returned and you've got their backs.

It's a bit much to ask of someone you'd say "Yeah, I'll hang out with you." and I think it's something that you'll only ever achieve with a select few people. I think someone said 'acquaintances' earlier, and that's pretty much the perfect word.

I have my concept planned out. Currently working on art assets. I am going to screw with your minds people.

The more I see of this game the more I love it!

"Surrealism: movement that attempts to express the workings of the subconscious and is characterized by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter."

Oh it is so on!!

Imaginary audience

My target audience for my Sonic game are, primarily Sonic fans (shockingly) of the old guard, so aged early through late twenties, who have played and know the basic rules of an RPG.

In the respect of hitting older Sonic players, the plot takes place after Sonic & Knuckles and before Sonic Adventure, as such Robotnik is called freaking Robotnik and is in his classic costume, the dungeons are based around zones such as Scrap Brain, Aquatic Ruin and Metropolis, and there's a good serving of various Metal Sonics.

One thing I have been trying to incorporate is the art of conversation between the player and the game. To describe what I mean, I'll ask you to look to the Prince of Persia series and Portal. Those games set the rules, leave you in a space and tell you to use those rules to move on to the next space. They gradually get more challenging and start to require you to have mastered it's rules.

I always feel like those games are constantly conversing with the player, in the sense of "OK, this is situation A, what will you do?" "Well, I'm going to try Action 3!" "Action 3 would work fine if it weren't for Problem 1" "Then I need to do Operation A before performing Action 3 to eliminate Problem 1." Erm, that sounds messy...

Basically, I want to make it feel less like you're charging through the game room to room, and more like you're playing chess with the game. Does any of this make sense?
