I'm not dead!
I've been working hard at stuff at work, so I'm going to update with my latest project:
This is for a project in my spare time that's work related. The new games company we work for is called Finblade. The company logo consists of a metallic-looking shark fin cutting through stylistic blue waves. It was created by the company CEO. See below:

It's alright, but the accompanying promotional video material and the like is a little, well, bland. So I am working on this as an attempt to liven it up a bit - when I am finished with it I will present it to my manager (the CEO) to see if I can sway him to incorporating it.
Presenting... Tiburon del Finblade! (Finsbury for short).

It is all WIP right this moment, I'm still far from completing it. Last night I applied Blend Shapes to animate the fins moving up and down, as well as the ability to narrow/widen his eyes (to give a bit of an evil stare).
Here is a very rough draft of the animation, sketched out to give me a better idea of timings for the animations and so forth. Some details are missing such as the emphasis of the body jolting during his fin extending on his back.
Finsbury Rough Anim (997k animated .gif): http://www.jontendo.co.uk/gfx/finsbury_logo_rough.GIF
..so anyway, that's what I've been up to. Sorry I haven't been keeping this place up to date. Once I've finished my recent game I will post some art from it up here (which I have to say I'm REALLY proud of, even if by rights I shouldn't be proud of the license I'm working on... :-\)

So you think you're bad enough dude to call that? Were you bad enough to call Giga Bowser as well?
Actually, yes I called that too.
Make mine a Burger King.

You have a Bowser fetish.
Just thought I'd say that.
I... I do not!! :(
Smash Brothers
-Do you play Smash Bros?
Yes I do. I haven't played it for a few months now but that is simply due to time constraints and being busy. But yes I do still whip it out to have a bash at. I consider myself fairly competitive, despite not partaking in any of the techniques such as wavedashing.
-Character of choice? Why?
I normally choose between Ganondorf and Jigglypuff. Ganondorf is my first choice for a number of reasons: a) I am a big Zelda fan, b) Ganondorf looks cool and has a cape, and c) because of his wicked attack power coupled with a refined movepool that Bowser could only dream about. However if I am unable to play as 'dorf (usually by friends banning me from using him) then I would stick with Jigglypuff. Several years later and they still lower their defences for the cute pink squeaky-voiced Pokemon and his almighty Rest move. They also never see Rollout approaching either.
-Have you ever fought in a tournament of any sorts?
Nope!

My name is Jon Davies (for those that don't know, my online alias is an anagram of my real name.) I am 25 years of age and I currently reside in a town called Eastleigh, just on the outskirts of Southampton, England. I have lived all my life in the UK and the south of the country too, though I have jumped a bit from place to place wihin the vicinity.
My current job (or at least will be until the redundancy kicks in) is a graphic artist for a mobile phone games company called IOMO, part of Infospace. I have been here for three years now and worked on lots of fun, as well as not-so-fun games while being there. Before that I was studying a Bachelor of Arts course on Interactive Multimedia. a few years back I used to go back to the same course and give guest lectures to the students there on 2D and 3D game art in general.
My involvement in the RPG Making community began when a friend of mine showed me a game he had found named Pikachu's Quest. After a bit of searching for the game, the application it was made with and the community attached to it, I had found NeXus and decided to stay there after the first screenshots I posted of my first game project got some nice feedback. After that I had jumped about a bit to other communities, such as Don's Boards, Heresay, GamingWorld and Imbiss. I have met many friends along the way and kept in touch with a few of them to this day.
Though I am first and foremost a Nintendo fanatic (some might even call "mascot"), I do own and play a 360 and a PSP occasionally. I also like jazz and classic music, reading and long walks, as long as there is food at the end of the walk.

Clockwork zombie haunts my dreams.
Say, Sovan, are you going to take part in the EB Siege Envelope Art dealie? You would probably need to send in an envelope pretty soon, if so. It says to have things in by the 10th, (postmarked by the 6th is their suggestion) but I assume snail mail takes longer to get here from crazy countries where they drive on the left side of the road!
I've no idea what you're talking about, sorry.
Also, updated with some sketches I did a while back when I was on a "I wanna make a REAL Bowser fighter sprite for M.U.G.E.N.!" stage.
Plus, to let everyone know that my online portfolio is up and running at www.jontendo.co.uk!! It has all the images I've posted here so far plus many many more.

Today's update, the one and only, the great Koopa King himself...
BOWSER!!
Edit: D'oh! I can't host pictures at the moment, you'll just have to go to the site to see him in all his splendour yourself.
Also an interesting few comments to go along with his profile too:

"The biggest and the heaviest of fighters, Bowser has a slightly different flavor this time around!
To be honest, there are a LOT of characters that offer a slightly different flavor this time around. If you think they're all going to be the same as they have been, it'll be rough for you."

ASSIST TROPHIES
Well I was very impressed with the update until I read Samurai Goro's descrpition now I'm only impressed. But thanks to the Assist Trophy that silly playable Nintendogs rumor can now be put to rest.
I'm going to guess that most of the game's cameos are gonna be coming from these trophies, and that's cool too.
I've heard many, many rumours and speculation for Brawl, but none of them have pertained to the idea of a playable Nintendogs character. Surely the E3 trailer would've shot that idea down the moment it took flight?!
