Ferdinand
You tied the chickens together.
RabitZ
You are in a defensive position between the enemy and Cadeon. You will have +1 to your defensive stats for the next turn. You will have a 50% chance of receiving any attacks against Cadeon next turn.
Idida
You charge the skirmisher (-1h,+2dm,-1ev,+2b), attack him before he is ready, (6-1h+1e) and land a blow squarely on his (6) head! The attack (2+1+2d-2b, 4) knocked him unconscious! The skirmisher is bleeding, will be unable to act next turn, and will suffer a -1 penalty to all stats. SlaveChild watches and is ready.
LockeZ
You have attached the torches to the chickens and set them loose. They (1) catch fire and flap their wings frantically as the horrible smell of burning flesh and feather mixes with their smokey barbecue goodness. Their squawking has alerted the troops at the wall who now turn to see what is happening.
Kentona
You fire the burning arrows at the tents (4) and one finds its mark! A tent begin to burn! There is a commotion inside the tent as its dweller struggles to get out of it (6) but he succeeds!
-
The knight, two soldiers that were at the base of the ladder, and the soldier from the tent are now coming your way. The burning chickens are a beacon to them. They do not see your party yet but they do see the chickens and are heading straight towards them.
The noise has brought two more soldiers out of the other tents. They do not seem to understand what is happening but they do see the knight and other soldiers heading your way and are moving to join them!

Just a heads up before you burn the fort down. The guy in the starter town gave you guys the following info:
"Less than a fortnight past those goat-loving worms of Barata crossed the South'rn river and besieged Fort Gregor." He muttered pacing to and fro staring at the greenhorns. "We have lost contact with them." He was getting more agitated. "Our lord has kin in that fort!"
The tents of the troops trying to get into the fort are flying the Barata (enemy) flag. Your lord's cousin and his troops are supposed to be inside!
That said, burn it if you want to lol. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew what the situation was.

LockeZ
You pick up the torch and two coins. Upon arriving at town you use the coins to purchase a flask of mead.
Ike
You pick up and equip the helmet (+1block to head, -1 evade). You also collect the breastplate and give it to your squire. He equips it as directed (+1 block to chest, -1 evade). You take Marrend's and Shortstar's burnt and battered bodies and lay them across your horse.
Ferdinand
You share the bread rations with the chickens. While they eat, you edge closer to the bodies on Ike's horse. You quickly survey them for any booty and find (2) nothing! Everything must have fallen on the ground when they died.
Cadeon
You take the large dagger and the coins. With the coins, you attempt to negotiate a group rate for the meal and (6) succeed beyond expectations! You were able to convince the keep to give the party the meal and bed for the night. You were also able to get the proprietor to include 2 drinks for each person (cannot take with you). You have successfully sold the dull axe for 15 gold coins!
RabitZ
You pick up the large dagger and your iron sword. You ask the trader if he can upgrade your sword. He apologizes and explains that he's a smith's trader not a smith but that he'd be more than happy to sell you a better blade. You purchase the morning star instead.
-
The sun is setting. Having paid for the meal already, Cadeon convinces the party to stay and eat. In the morning, they set out again.
-
The party travels the entire day before coming to the edge of the enemy encampment. You are on the North side of Fort Gregor; however, there is a line of 4 tents, a row of pikes in the ground, and a trench between you and the fort. The fort has high log walls that are tipped with sharp points. You can see a skirmisher posted in the rough nearby to your left and a knight yelling at a boy about a ram while a squad of 5 soldiers are trying to climb a ladder at the wall. None of them have seen you. It is still day but is drizzling and gloomy with no sunshine. The ground around the fort is slick with mud. It will be dark soon.

RabitZ (hit -1, dmg +2, evd -1, block +2 chest/arms, +1 to rest of body)
You throw your iron sword at barbarian 3 (-1h, +3 dmg, -3 evd, +1 block). The spinning blade (2-1h+3e)nearly misses but then strikes him in the (3) arm! The blow (3-1+2d-1b) cuts through a tendon disabling his arm! He is shocked and too far to counter-attack but is still dangerous.
Marrend (hit +1, evd +1, block -1)
You attempt to retreat to find a place to address your wounds (2) but do not see any place to go! Your arm is bleeding heavily and you feel light headed. You set loose Remington. He charges barbarian 3 (-1h, +3 dmg, -3 evd, +1 block) and attacks! Remington (1-3e) nearly misses but then clamps down on the barbarian's (6) neck! He rips at the barbarian's throat (6-1) causing heavy damage to the soft tissue. The barbarian is bleeding and may be mortally wounded. He is unable to counterstrike this turn and will suffer a -1 stat penalty to all stats for the next round. You follow quickly behind Remington attacking the barbarian 3 (-2h,+2d,-4e) with your axe and (6-1h+4e)land the blow squarely on his hand severing it from his arm!
LockeZ (dmg +3, block +4 legs/feet/hands, block +3 head/chest/arms.)
You watch as the last two barbarian's bleed to death on the ground. With all immediate threats eliminated, you go over to Marrend's corpse. You hold your torch to the body. (6) It is alight in a funeral pyre.

Never assume you know the player will do. The game designer knows where all the shiny is hidden. A new player doesn't.
This is something that really frustrates me when I play other people's games. When I am working on my game, I have to constantly remind myself to give the player help in knowing which way to go or what to do next but you never really know what they'll do until they play it. Great point.
Attention all Nerds: Text Based Adventure!

The barbarian grabs at the dirt for a few seconds dragging his upper body away from his legs then collapses face down in the dirt.
