Actually I have not heard of a single Playstation 3 failing or freezing at all.
Just saying.
I guess you aren't looking for it at all. Fact of the matter is, no electronic device is failure proof. It happens. Some moreso than others...

Wiis overheat too?!!!! that sucks. I thought that they were designed to be able to be on all the time...
My stepdad bought a 20" boxfan to sit next to his Wii for quite sometime because it was overheating and freezing. The issue seems to have corrected itself, as the box fan is no longer near, but of course now it has been moved to a more air conditioned room.
That said, there is typically a 2% defect rate of electronics traditionally, and I'm sure the Wii is no exception. But when compared to the other two next-gen consoles, it may be considered an angel.

Having a name for a monotheistic God makes sense to me for differentiation from other religion's God or Gods. (polytheistic or monotheistics).

Canuck, 95% (if not more) of the world's monotheistic religions worship the same God. And they don't bother to recognize the god of the other 5%.

I REALLY don't understand how "God" is considered a swear word. Even if you DO BELIEVE in the religious stuff, isn't his name technically Yahweh, so taking THAT in vain would be a sin but not the title of "God".
God is considered a swear word only when you take his name in vain, such as "God damn it" and "God this place sucks". You're not really referring to God but you use his name as a informal adjective or slang, usually in a negative fashion.
Many branches of the Abrahamic religions have varying theories on God's name. Yahweh is what many of the Jewish faith believe his true name is, Islam refers to him as Allah, Mormons have yet another name for God, but many, many branches of mainstream Christianity simply refer to him as God and do not consider him to have another name. Names are used to distinguish people from one other, but if he is the only one there is no need to call him, say, Ted. He would simply be "God" - it's not a title.
