Thanks to our crack technical team (WIP), this issue should now be resolved. If it doesn't work at first, just wait longer! Or refresh. Whichever.
The New Deal
The madness has ended. I have sucessfully driven WIP to the shores of Africa, where he met his demise. With the former consul out of the way, I set the stage to become RMN's dictator for life.
In reality WIP is just not able to contribute much to the site at current time. He is still planning to add some new features (and to fix some old bugs), but as of right now he has other, more pressing, priorities. So, I will resume my former duties as commander-in-chief until such a time when WIP can turn his attentions back to the site. Any policy or technical questions can now be directed to me in WIP's absence, and I see that kentona has been doing a fine job on the content end of the deal.
I hope to hammer out a new game/content policy soon, which shall be my legacy. Any thoughts or comments or what you would like to see? Obviously without a policy on this we have no consistancy as staff members on what to approve or disapprove. Because of this sometimes good games get turned away, and, more often than not, really bad games make it through. I hope to fix that.
I, for one, welcome our new Starscreamian overlords.

More games need furries. Could this be the first really good RMXP game?
Have you ever met Craze? Online, that is.

The last Splinter Cell game, Double Agent, has moved away from the whole light/dark mechanic of sneaking around. Previously, you had a meter that showed you how visible you were. However, Double Agent moved the action into better-lit environments. You do still need to keep your noise down to sneak around, however.
The next one, Conviction, is looking to move away from traditional sneaking entirely. Instead, it seems you have to blend into crowds to go unnoticed.
Both of these games have taken away a lot of the near-future tech from the previous entries, leaving you with much more simple equipment to work with.
That said, I haven't played any of the Splinter Cell games to completion. I just sort of play them here and there when I get the chance.
Gred: We need to hookup for some more Gears soon! :(
I NEED SOME FRESH ACHIEVEMENTS

All of the Splinter Cell games look exactly the same to me.
Are there significant differences between installments?
I wouldn't know seeing as I never played them. But from my understanding the multiplayer options increase dramatically, while the campaign mode is more of the same with a few new moves and, of course, a newer storyline.
However, your comment is pretty irrelevant. You could say that about Madden, GTA, Final Fantasy, etc, etc. They all are more of the same to the untrained eye.
