I'm done with my second half. :D
Just waiting on the game page to get approved.

Yeah, I didn't feel too comfortable with the balancing I had, but unfortunately between work and all I didn't really have too much time to tweak with the boss fight sequence I had. Hence the whole me being ok with people tweaking it if needed. I got through all the fights fine, but I knew what to do :P

Yea, I couldn't (I have your game). Though fortunately it was easy to fix, I just removed the bandage from the available enemy moves and it suddenly became much more manageable. So yea no worries, very little tweaking was actually needed in the end.

Same with poorly balanced fights. Balancing the battles and making them fun just was left for the second person to do. You don't need to apologize or feel bad for doing things the first person didn't get around to doing. That's the whole point of the event.

I ended up just removing a single skill from all enemies and it made the game very manageable.

However, the first half is now only 10 minutes. Should my second half only be 10 minutes as well?

Yea lucky for you guys.
I got a game that is mostly combats, but the problem is that I feel the game was not properly tested/balanced. There is a 0mp move which almost fully heals available to you and your enemies. On the other hand, it properly gets the game close to 30 minutes. I couldn't get pass the 2nd/3rd fights no matter what I did.
I think there was a genuine attempt to make the combat challenging, but unfortunately I have to go back and tweak a few things because it's way too hard and not in the good way, more in the "you got unlucky, you're dead" way.
Sorry whoever I got (I think you'll recognize yourself). I had to go back and change a few things or else people would stop playing the game before the 2nd/3rd combat, I know I would've.

Hmm...compatibility would probably work fine for me...have you tried RM2k on Steam?

No I have not because... Money issues. 2k is 25$ on steam which is a little expensive. I regret not buying it here when it was on special, but even though I really like the combat system on 2k (I actually really do, with all the messages, I think it has a certain charm), it didn't seem worth it since it's pretty much otherwise the same as 2k3 which I own legally.

Most of the time too, I won't even use the combat system so I don't feel it's worth it.

Imagine the frustration of buying a RM engine and having it not work on Windows 10, it has happened to me with a bunch of games on Steam already.

I used to have terrible issues with Tuskuru, especially 2K, on Windows 10 (crashing, instability, UI problems, res distortion, it was a mess). Then, I discovered that running it in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP) worked wonders. I never see those issues in legal 2K3, so I think they fixed whatever the instability was.

Trust me I tried. Doesn't work. :(
Only with the editor though, I can play 2k games fine, which is weird.

I can only use 2k3 (official or tsukuru). I can't use 2k (just doesnt work in windows 10 for me) I have available versions of XP or Vx Ace available, but there's a slight possibility that they don't work with some projects as they are not... legit.
Also I'd like to get confirmation, was my subscription rejected or accepted?

Swap in the Middle with You~

Erm... I can't submit and the time of the end of the event
hasn't passed for me. I actually had something to submit... :(

The time says 6:59 PM and it's only 4:52 PM for me.

EDIT: Oh boy, forgot to change my timezone when I moved from Mass to California, great.

EDIT2: Since I'm only technically less than one hour late and it was simply idiocy and not malicious I've uploaded my half here http://www48.zippyshare.com/v/Y2XXpP7h/file.html
(good thing it was only 17mb). If it's not accepted, well whatever it was kind of rushed at the end anyways.

This event's first week is also my final week of my thesis in computer security, I have a presentation Thursday so I'm really trying to do as much as possible this weekend.

I guess that's why for time bound events like this it's important to keep it small.

I put myself down for RPG Maker 2003 I have both Maker and Tsukuru. I'd be open to edit games in 2000 or XP. Not really willing to buy MV or VX Ace.

If I am using 2003, would it be advisable to use Tsukuru instead, so that there is a better chance to pair me with someone with the program?
