TESPY'S PROFILE

I've loved games and programming since I was young. I joined this site because of my interest in Eredia: The Diary of Heroes, a project I eventually helped out in the play-testing and proofreading/editing departments.

My best skills lie in game programming, proofreading/editing English text, and play-testing games.

Most of my game programming experience is in Unity, and I've grown pretty confident in my skills. I've been learning to script for RMMV as well, and at the time of this writing, I've created two nice plugins for it.

Most of my play-testing/proofreading/editing experience is as QA staff at a certain eroge publisher. Did more than 8 projects for them.

Looks much better! The only thing I would change is make the sharins text on the bottom left (both in and out of the septagon) contrast more with the septagon they are on. Perhaps color them gold, since sharins are the currency.

Update Version 1.4 (Major Update) + HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Woo! I'll be looking forward to seeing what the new demo will have to offer ^^

Glad to help :> I think that for the menu bubbles, it'd be better to not have the names on the bubbles, since as you said, the name would be displayed in the left hand box anyway.

Understood about your other points.

It looks pretty nice! Certainly a lot cooler than the rather plain menu you had before.

Here are my suggestions for improving it:

- Remove that timer box in the top right; seeing play time isn't feature that deserves to be shown on the main menu like that. Just seeing the playtime in the save menu is enough. Plus, the space you'd free up from that could be used to make other parts of the main screen look nicer.

- Make all the green text in this menu white; they blend in too much with whatever is under them.

- If you removed the timer bar, the text on the menu bubbles should be under their respective bubbles, or at least a bit lower; it looks rather cramped as is.

- Also if you removed the timer bar, you should make the menu choice bubbles and their text bigger. Perhaps spread them out a bit, perhaps lower the character portraits down slightly so the screen looks less cramped.

- I think that's just a glitch, but that zero in the box displaying your money needs to be in front of the box, like the letters on the Menu box in the top left.

- The boxes with the party members' names on them should be a little taller, with the text in them getting bigger to match.

I hope this helps! ^_^

October Progress Report (Yeah, I know it's delayed)

Nice to see a lot has been done ^^

I like it :>

The Friendzone Prevails Again!

I think these changes are for the better. :)

Eredia - Diary of Heroes

So, I went through the whole demo on Hunter difficulty, and I rather like what I see! Though, the text could use some proofreading; there are quite a few grammar issues, but the main problem is the awkward wording that is in a huge chunk of that text. Examples:

Giraldus: However, I can’t seem to be able to get my mind off one particular problem…
Vishael: And lucky you are that you didn’t have to… What it meant is that the mission of destroying a Caradith army camp which was supposed to be a pushover in your words, has turned out to be something which we might not walk out of alive.
Giraldus: Jesting again?... You are a supreme elf who has mastered melee combat, healing magic and elemental magic. And now you are telling me that you are afraid of a magic fog?

Casual speech is fine, but even that is better-worded than this.

As for bugs, here’s what I found:
- Some npcs sometimes get stuck in hallways, forcing you to wait for them to get out of the way before you can finally go through. They also sometimes block entrances and exits inside and outside of buildings, which is also annoying.

- When you try to use the Teleport spell in a place where you can’t teleport, the MP for the spell is used up (even though you never got to actually use the spell in those times).

- Technically not a bug, but when Sharina and Rurouna rejoin you at Aedelen, their HP and MP is the same as it was at the end of the werewolf battle. It’d be better if they were fully healed before they rejoined you; in my playthrough, Sharina was dead, forcing me to backtrack to Midglen and rest at an Inn.

(I know I could have just used the inn at Aedelen, but money is pretty tight in this game without doing a lot of grinding; I had to be frugal.)

Sorry if any of this came off as harsh; I just wanted to give helpful feedback. Anyway, I hope this feedback helps! I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of this project :)
