So, this might sound kinda dumb, but in this version of the game do we not get a choice in whether to spare the Guardians or not? I just want to make sure I'm not screwing myself over by missing something before I fight them.
you do not
Gotcha, thanks.

You're welcome. Any other questions I'll be here.

Hey Judge, enjoying the game so far but I've hit a snag: when I try to open the Treasure Chest zip file with the password given in-game, the image inside refuses to display. (I'm playing "A New Home Release Version 1.0.1", if that makes a difference.)

It sounds like you're extracting just the image itself. You need to extract the folder treasure chest to a separate folder and then "open" the treasure chest to see the image inside. I'm looking on a way to allow users to just extract the image but something happens during compression that doesn't allow that.

The new courtroom, picked alain as my new character to play, inspected every wall changed my computers clock to sunday, third of june, i can't figure out what to do. Get to what was Dedans hut in OFF and a poster says somthing like i must do what they can not, the escape key hides the secret. What do?

Open your inventory and use the grand item.

Uhh. there is a difficulty level btw. You can choose easy, difficult, or hard combat.
Maybe you chose hard combat on accident? If so check your inventory there should be an item called "Difficulty Pill." which lowers your difficulty down to normal.

Battles with giant enemies, or enemies that are by themselves should be ran from if possible. They are challenging enemies similar to Morbol and Behemoths in the final fantasy series.

By the way, inboxing someone telling them. "Your game's difficulty system is broken. Fix it." It disrespectful as all hell.

Also, I haven't had a single complaint about the combat system being broken until now. Every person on tumblr who's inboxed me about it has replied with positive results about the combat and puzzle levels of difficulty.

However I will take your concerns into consideration and shove a few enemy commands into hard mode only and make enemies a little less reactive/volatile on easy mode. Removed the tougher encounters in the areas before the hospital allows a player who might get stuck like in your case grind the encounters there and get caught up to speed before fighting the tougher monsters later on.

Also made the hellbrought cats weaker (the catguns.)

Also what level are you? Most players are lv15-20 when entering zone 4.

New Composer in the team: Nitrosparxx!

I'm excited to see this project finished, and to hear Nitrosparxx work as well. Give him a huge thanks from me if you can for helping out with this project! :3

For future reference, you can edit most submissions after they've been accepted to the site. Indeed, you might want to ask a few of the old reviewers to update their reviews to better fit the new game - some might do so, and those that don't, you could ask to make the scores N/A. They might do it.

That's what I was wondering/suggesting. Like to make the old reviews N/A or just ask them to update because what happened was at one point HOME was finished, complete. It even won a few Misaos. Then someone decided they wanted everything they contributed removed, which included a chunk of the characters in the game. So that's when Scarecrow joined and helped me refill the game with new characters and content and now I have 8 reviews for a version of the game that stops even being the same game around 5 hours in.

It's a really awkward situation and I feel so icky thinking about everything that happened. I wish there was a way to just like have all the old reviews wiped or set to N/A and have a clean slate but I don't think that's possible. Maybe if they could have an -outdated version- tag. Anything just to let players know that the reviews no longer line up with the game.

Fair enough, but keep in mind in the future that if you write a review for a game you had a hand in, even if it is just a passing hand - like creating graphics for, or beta-testing - think twice before adding a score to it, because people will call you out for being biased and scoring too high, even if your score was in the lower half of the scale.

I should've told him to write it unrated like I had SmashyQ to avoid this exact situation. (if you notice SmashyQ wrote a review and is also a part of HOME.)
I just wasn't certain if you could change a rating after it was posted.
