Hello. I absolutely love this game but I'm kind of stuck. I'm on hard puzzle mode and I'm in the courtroom at the point where the three cats are looking for the judge and the area is all white. I tried to use my Grand Finale but it says "A mysterious force prevents this item from being used" no matter where in the white rooms I try to use it. What should I do?
Okay. Well, you're in the white area where you have 3 paths you can go right? North, East, and West? After going through a long hallwAY that had plague doctor encounters? You have to use different grand items in those rooms. Figure out which ones you need to use.

I'm wondering if Control Problems are common. I started up the game, got to the name selection. I couldn't use the left arrow. I pushed it off as a control error on my part, and left it at that. Then I went to control the character. It was in a constant state of motion towards the left, and I couldn't get it to stop. I was wondering if there was any way to fix it. Is it my mouse that's causing the problem? I am playing on a laptop...
EDIT: I found the kbdreset.exe file... I think that helped! I should have checked before commenting.
yeah thats what the keyboard reset is for. The key getting stuck to the left is a common error. I decided to include a program to fix it for convenience. :D

It's definitely something I might try soon, but I've been on a kick to play games that have no exposure/unrated and give them reviews/feedback. You seem to be doing pretty well for yourself :P
But perhaps, casually I'll pick this up sometime!
Review it if you want, but when/if you get around to playing it let me know if you find any hiccups so I can fix them, and if you ever get stuck on any puzzles I'm always reachable. :3

I thought I'd just somehow managed to mess up on getting the stairs :') It hasn't made HOME any less enjoyable for me but of course I'm super curious to see what the stairs lead to. I'm playing the 1.0.2 version currently, on PC & I'm playing 'normal' mode.author=kotoribirbwhat version of HOME are you playing if I might ask.author=TheJudgeThanks for the quick reply! If those locations are correct then I'm certain I got all the dopefish. I have both computers and I've entered all the passwords, but apart from choosing Yes to accept them, nothing happens. I've looked all over zone 0 and there are no hidden staircases for me. Maybe it's a stupid question, but could it have something to do with me having already unlocked the courtroom?
those are the dopefish locations. There should be a hidden staircase at the top of zone 0. As for the computer, you make the computer appear by finding the hidden room in zone 4. Check inside the north house near the hospital, keep opening the door.
EDIT: I got the image with the hidden dopefish in the Good End, so I'm assuming I've found them all, but still no staircase.
Also, that dopefish at the good end appears just if you find the dopefish in zone 0. It's not a clear indicator that you found them all. I should've fixed that to be clearer.
