Also, 8-year-olds and insecure douchebags on Xbox Live. Especially when they're absolutely convinced that they're smarter than you, which sort of ties in with Asa's comment. They can't even begin to fathom the idea that maybe- just maybe- once every blue moon, they might actually be wrong about something. Anybody with that mindset is a douchebag.

I have a severe lack of motivation, and I'm one of the laziest fucks on the planet, but I'm pretty serious about game making. Game design is something I'm shooting for a career in, so this is a great place to start.

Got the first veeeeeery short leg of the world map sort of done.
I'll probably stick a monster or two in there later. As you can see, no custom graphics for the characters yet... so far, everything except that world map chipset you're looking at is RTP.

Projects are non-transferable. Uhhhhh inferior is a terrible word to use as they are all good in their own ways. Although XP and VX have much greater capabilities. Also, I'm not sure where you got the bundled idea. I've never heard of something like that.

Also, since neither one is really "better" than the other, I'll probably just stick with XP so I don't have to redo anything. Although, does anybody know what exactly the advantages and disadvantages are? Thanks.

Are they bought individually or can I get XP and 2k3 free if I buy VX? I've been working on a project in XP, but I neglected to try VX as well. Now, id they're bought individually, I'll have to do one of the following four things: abandon all post-conception progress on Catastrophe and start over in VX, be stuck with an outdated and inferior version, pay $120 for both XP and VX, or resort to pirating XP. I don't really want to do any of these.
Of course, I'll try out VX once my XP trial runs out in a few days.

I've only tried XP, but for the "worst" version, it's pretty good. Don't dwell too long on the decision.
