I've never really cared about Valkyrie Profile. Or even heard anything about them. I knew they existed, but they were just in a different plane of reality.
However, I like the DS and I love SRPGs, so I'll look into it. I didn't care about Disgaea either, and Disgaea DS turned out to be the best $25 I ever spent.

Yes, they can. However, coming up with your own characters and your own setting and your own universe will always be a better idea.
