Greetings...
Welcome to our happy family, Paige! I look forward to seeing what games you come out with after the youtubing of cats is done (a process which I agree cannot be rushed).

Constantly running common event, set a variable to hero X's currently equipped Y, check if this variable is not equal to another one, check if hero X has item Y equipped, if so raise max whatever by Z, if not lower it by Z, then set the second variable to the currently equipped Y.
So it would be like:
So it would be like:
Set var:[0001:EquippedWeapon], [character] WeaponNo.
Conditional: Var 0001 not equal to 0002
Conditional: [character] has +100 HP Bangle equipped
Stat change: [character] MaxHP raise by 100
Else
Stat change: [character] MaxHP lower by 100
End
Set var:[0002:StoredWeapon], [character] WeaponNo.

MrChearlie, all changes I decided to make were to improve balance and were done before the game started. I haven't changed anything on the fly and everyone was told in their role PM how their role actually works.
Now that Marrend has voted, I can end the phase.
"What...what just happened?" asks SorceressKyrsty, looking around at the sea of confused faces.
"Wibblebibbleweewoo," answers rabitZ, eyes rolling around in circles.
"Ah," says SorceressKyrsty, nodding sagely, "I guess that means Little Wing Guy is more villainous than a sackful of weasels!"
"Nah, I think sackful of weasels is a hero," murmurs ldida1.
"I'm with Kyrsty!" cries Marrend with perfect clarity, "Give me Little Wing Guy ejection or give me...uh...someone else!"
KABLAM! That's the sound Little Wing Guy makes as he flies out the door. That's the sound a villain makes.
Villain phase 3 has begun. It will end at 7:00PM GMT on May 12th.

Just to clarify, the reason Marrend's vote wasn't counted was because the cancellation happened before he cast it. He therefore still has a vote and I didn't count the one he'd made because the gamestate has changed and he might have wanted to vote for someone else.
Marrend, if you can confirm your vote I'll end the phase.
Also just to clarify, I made some MINOR changes to the roles. Nothing that would screw you over, but I can't confirm what I did and didn't change for obvious reasons.

Meta games
My question for you all today is, what are your opinions on "meta" games?
"What the fuck is a meta game, Trihan?" I hear you ask.
By meta game I mean one where the focus is progression outwith the game itself. For example, the Achievement Unlocked or Upgrade Complete series.
Personally I think they're a lot more clever than they're given credit for, especially Achievement Unlocked. In the current climate (for X360 owners at least) gamerscore seems to be the biggest indicator of self-worth, so I always found a game where the whole point is unlocking achievements to be quite amusing.
It says something that I enjoy games about unlocking achievements and upgrading the game more than some proper games out there.
And on a final note, the fact that in Upgrade Complete you can't even buy things until you buy the shop menu screen (and have to buy the preloader for the game) is genius.
