I do want Toronto to choke again and laugh at them for losing to the Canadiens. But this year they actually look…good… (bleh.)

Believe me, I hated writing it. The Habs are just laughable this year. Petry, Suzuki, and Toffoli were the only players who were impressive for most of the season. There were a lot of games that Toffoli even won for the team because he's been a scoring monster. The Habs would probably have 4-5 more losses if Toffoli didn't find the net so many times.

Ultimately though, I think it comes down to Price. Allen is an incredible and overqualified backup and was more impressive than Price early in the season. If Carey can bring his A game like he did last year in the playoffs then the Habs might stand a chance because the boys in front of the net are usually only bringing their B- game at best most of the time this year.

The Habs really don't have a high chance of taking the Leafs out. Caufield, Petry. Price, Suzuki, and Toffoli are the players I'll be keeping an eye on in the series. Gallagher and Kotkaniemi are all over the place, Drouin is out indefinitely due to mental stress caused by the toxic Habs fans/media getting to him, and Weber's entering the playoffs hurt and not at his best. I expect the Leafs to walk all over the Habs, but who knows what will happen? The Habs may surprise me.

It's been a while but for some reason I remember seeing Maladrothim(Brandon) just getting so much grief over any SS he posted of Wilfred the Hero by various members claiming he was just straight up lying about his game.

Aw man, I don't remember that at all and I find it kind of upsetting to know that he was crapped on because he was a genuinely friendly and helpful guy. When I was being shit on by GW members for making fan games, I remember he was one of the ones who was supportive of me. I can't fully recall what he did for me now because it's been well over a decade, but it was enough for me to put him in the special thanks section of the credits in my game at the time.

I didn't think that I would need to do this, but I'm putting this request out there.

I've been handling all of my game's graphics (minus portraits and monsters) completely on my own so far, and while I've had no issues doing sprites and tiles (I've actually been enjoying it!), battle animations are proving to be a little trickier. Designing nice looking spell and weapon effects is definitely not my area of expertise and I'm issuing a call for anyone who would like to help to lend a hand if willing! Let me clear about what this request entails as well, just to clear up possible confusion which has occurred in the past.

What I do not want: Someone who is willing to edit rips or offer franken creations (assets made from cutting and pasting parts from various pieces together). I am also not looking for recolours. Penumbra Crystallis features entirely original graphics, no rips. I appreciate any desire to help, I really do, but these are not things that I need nor will they make it into the game.

What I do want: Someone who is able to create, from scratch, assets that are reminiscent of early SNES RPGs. Think Dragon Quest V, Final Fantasy IV, Paladins Quest, etc. Another example of the quality I'd aim for is Shining Force on the Genesis. Again, only talking about battle animations. No monsters, character sprites, etc. Just the bare animation graphics.

Ideally I'd be looking for a hobbyist who just wants to help out of the goodness of their heart and desire to support a fellow RPG Maker user, but I'm also 100% open to battle animation graphics being commissioned for reasonable prices.

Oh man, that takes me back! Good ol' ezBoard! 2000-2001 era RG Maker ezBoard forums were the shit.

It's really hilarious that I recall a lot of people left Don's ezBoard forums because they were too toxic and went to Gaming World because it was a really chill place at the time. Fast forward several years later and Gaming World itself became the toxic community that people were leaving. Funny how things kind of come full circle like that on the internet.
