LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

It comes and goes, depending on what's happening (holidays, certain times of the week, etc).
(It’s because I haven’t been posting as much, hasn’t it?)
But it’s good that you’re starting to come around more often here, WIP. We could use a lot more insight from the man who basically created RMN with his two, seemingly bare hands.

Good to see you around! Speaking of that, some kind of chat that's integrated with the site would be pretty nifty IMO, but it may be a lot of work (I suck at programming so I wouldn't know). xD

Are you scoping the joint out planning a coup?
Thought about it. RMN has a decent userbase and some good stuff, but would it make sense to try and get back in to drag it to a different "place"?
Also I think it's pretty understood I find the name incredibly unfitting.

RMN is unfitting? :P
The domain is rpgmaker.net, which is wrong in that: 1) not all games here are made in an RPG Maker program OR 2) not all games here are RPGs. It's a bit incorrect either way you slice it.

he wants to name it after a beanie cap with a propeller.
I have a domain for this that I want so bad but is impossible to register. :(
well, it's mostly games made in RPG Maker AND mostly games that are RPGs.
it's better that we carve that niche than become more generic. The generic hobbyist gamedev pie is already dominated by the likes of GameJolt and itch.io and GameDev.net. I don't have the time or resources to compete with them. If RMN goes generic, it dies (like GW did).

I really don't think GW died because of its generics.
Both GameJolt and itch were made after this site, so what's the excuse there? Carving a niche has helped in what way?

Well GJ only got to the point CROS could make his gambit because of its success? And then it paid off. Both sites were volunteer-driven initially. Is RMN's fate to only ever be volunteers?
Most can't. But does it make sense to have RMN generate revenue so you could?
