Right now I'm thinking about season 4 of the Wire, which I just finished watching :D

Sometimes I wonder if it's just because it came out at the right time in my young game-playing life, but I have such an attachment to that game. I think it has such a great cast of characters and it handles them so well in the story.
post=138023post=138021Someone else will invariably articulate it better than I could. But FFVI just hit me like a lot of modern works didn't, and still don't. It has a style, an aesthetic, a feel, a sound, a story, that just resonates. It's like a dramatic opera come to life. It's just so well put together.
I like FFVI. It's a good game. I don't see how it holds up to modern-day works at all.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Lately I've been playing some of my old favorites in Japanese as a way to study, so at the moment I'm doing:
FF6
Xenogears
And I have a game on FFT as well, but I haven't played that in a long while.
All I have here in Japan is a ps2 and my computer, so I'll probably just be sticking to games I can play on those.

I loved it!
It had such a fabulous atmosphere. You say it's not horror, but I was tense throughout the whole thing, nervous to see what was going to happen next.

No matter how great it is, can 15-20 mins really be worth such a score?
I think it can be more difficult to make a compelling game that short, so I would definitely say it is.
