It's finally here - Vote for LandTraveller on Steam Greenlight

Sure, i'll. Just a piece of advice, don't hirry with the steam release. Maybe delaying it a little and start with a private page or a itch.io page. Early access is cuts both ways.

I'm ahead of you on that one, there's a closed alpha period before the actual Early Access release.

I did just add the link though- its the same one as the Steam group and I thought I might as well add it here because its hosted offsite anyways (I remember that requirement being in rpgmaker.net's ToS for commercial games).

Weird bug, I posted this months ago, not exactly the date you posted your comment.

0.31 Released

No, it should work. I've tested this on a machine with the same family of Intel graphics media adapter. What is the date set on the currently installed driver? (can view under the device manager)

0.31 Released

OpenGL (1.4.0 - Build 8.14.10.1930) started
Video driver: Intel 945G (Intel)

OpenGL major version: 1
Using legacy OpenGL

Update your video driver- it should work then. I've tested this on Windows 7 using an Intel card and I had to fiddle with the engine and update my video driver for it to work. It should be at least OpenGL 2 for the latest driver. I had to go digging around their website for it if I can remember.

Intel's media adapter cards are complete trash, but sometimes you have to make do.

PS:

It can run without those ARB extensions using old school OpenGL mode, it'll just be slower. The crash is because older Intel media adapters have horrendous OpenGL support.

OK Link_2112, try running rpg20xx.exe from the game's project folder and see if the game starts.

If it doesn't, delete your C:\Users\<Your Name>\AppData\Roaming\rpg20xx folder, try running the program again, and then see if there is a log.txt file in that folder. If there is, send it to me if it contains any content.

Ah, thank you. I was worried it was something on my part. Keep on rocking, WC. ;)

I'm focusing almost entirely on getting LandTraveller done, but I'll do pure fix updates if problems are found for RPG20XX.

The animation preview isn't in yet. Originally, I was avoiding putting engine parts into the editor, but I think at some point I'll have to change my mind and do it for everything. I was going to put some different sort of preview system, but I might put an actual engine context in that window to play back the visuals and sound.

If you had your project inside the editor folder somehow, it won't work.

The project files are the .2xp file, the .bin and the .dat folders. All three should start with the project name.

Actually, send me your project files in a ZIP that you are trying to run. I need to check if there isn't something strange with them and if it doesn't work for me too.

Update 1 : new HUD and progress

Oh, I just noticed, you forgot to make it so it draws a line from the last tile set to the current tile set as long as you have the mouse button down (instead of just setting tile at current position). The gaps left behind are because of that.

You can see what I mean if you open MS Paint and spaz out really fast with the pencil tool in circles- they turn into straight lines.
