You're Too Slow

Actually RPG_RT.exe is 933KB while wcrpg2kxe.exe is 336KB- but my engine comes with like 8 DLL files.

You're Too Slow

I'm going to love this, I have to find a fast software method of applying tones to textures. I would simply use a combination of the color multiplication and built-in lighting function to implement red, green and blue sliders...

But then there's that much more useful and commonly used saturation slider! You all keep doing them nice sepiatones and oversaturations for your ethereal towers n' such >.<

I think I should try writing a fast software method to apply this to textures. I think RPG Maker 2003 might actually be able to beat me in speed for this. But only for software mode!

For everyone who has a machine made in the past six years, it'll just use a Pixel Shader Version 2.0 and it'll put RPG Maker 2003 to shame, AND it can have HDR and everything at the same time- all fast on this tiny netbook.

You're Too Slow

Yeah, it's actually personal with me and RPG Maker 2003. I hate how slow the battle system is.

You're Too Slow

I don't fix the AGI, I will simply implement it in a way I think is better than the original. Also don't forget this is a from-scratch ground up engine and not a patch or hack to RPG_RT.exe.

You're Too Slow

I guess the find a free channel option in FMOD eventually stops working. I implemented my own rotation. This is not a bug in the original RPG_RT.exe

It's been a while since I've posted an update, so I'm updating you.

At least you actually have something we can play and this isn't like Duke Nukem Forever.

But (I don't mean to be an arse by asking) do you have any idea what kind of time-scale this project is on?

I don't mean "GIVE US A DATE!" I just mean, weeks? months? a year? or more :P (I, with zero programming knowledge, haven't the slightest idea how long a project like this would take to get to a public release. I don't wanna sound impatient or nagging, I'm just completely ignorant to the process.)

Well, I can give you a date. I'll release Alpha 3 sometime on Friday with all the changes since the Christmas release. As for an ultimate release date, you know how game companies like to tease you with this.

I'm thinking March 20 for Beta 1 though. I might not make that deadline, however.

One Thousand Words

Well it looks like I can cross of scaling too off the list. I think I'll do the rotation and waver next before I do tints.
