Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest
Perfect. With the Moon crest, you can travel down the rivers on the southern continent that are blocked by rocks.
That will let you go to the Sapphire Cave, which should be the next place you go - inside you can find the Final Key, which will allow you to explore much more freely!

Good job. You also need to find a "Branch of Wishes." To find this, go and fight the Elder Trees in the forest just to the south of Elderwood. They have a very good chance of dropping this item. Once you have that item, you can combine the Branch of Wishes and the Rainbow Drop in the alchemy pot to gain the Magic Key.
The Magic Key will let you progress through the gate to the north, and bring you closer to Shadow's castle...!

Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest
Hi Phong,
If you find Iona, surrounded by that swamp, then you need to do a couple of things to make progress:
1: Find a key. There are the ruins of a shop in the northwest of the town. Search them, and you should find it.
2: With the key, head back to the east side of town to find the ruins of the weapon shop. Searching inside the counter, you should find a keyhole that unlocks a secret set of stairs.
This is tough stuff to find, and the monsters and terrain are rough too. Good luck!

Yay, fantastic! It's an optional little nugget that is really quite difficult to find unless you're super thorough. But, the item could come in really handy.
I am happy you're enjoying it so far! Keep me up to date with your progress. :) Good luck!

Of course and no problem! I wanted it to be equippable as a usable item in battle, since the Fairy Flute has a history of putting things to sleep. Keep me updated!
Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest
Oh, it's no problem! Sometimes I have no idea what I'm doing, including in life.
Anyway, I would be surprised if you sold it -- it is worth 0 Gold. The boss at the end of that oasis cave is One Zombie and Two Night Wisps. The other thing you could have done is equip it on somebody.
In any case, if you really can't figure it out, you certainly do have the ability to start over and see for yourself... but I'm pretty sure that you must trigger the story event in which you receive that flute if you get past that boss!
Good luck - keep me updated with how you're doing and I'll be glad to help you out. :)

Hey guys!
Rebel -- Your party will change throughout the game. I typically hold off on using my stat-up items as a rule in games, but most every party member you meet WILL have to be involved in a major battle at some point, so will have to be "decent". Also, every seed can be dropped (typically rarely) from monsters, so there isn't a finite number of them.
Linkis -- What have you achieved so far? :) You have a few first things to think about:
1. After you first get Ramona, your goal is to travel to the fairy fountain in the desert SW of the first town. Defeat the boss there; you should get a Fairy Flute.
2. Before anything else, take the Fairy Flute to the wizard in the library in Velmont. You will trigger a cutscene in which you receive a new party member and you are told to travel to Anville to investigate the disappearance of the King. (This is easy to miss, though your party members do tell you to head back to Velmont after this scene. Talking to NPCs is crucial.)
3. At any time, you may travel NW of Polona to retrieve the Silver Key. This should not be very taxing if you're at Level 4 or higher (or so).
4. Once you have Owen and you go to Anville, speak with the King to trigger another cutscene and reveal the way forward.
Hopefully that helps. Keep me in the loop: Hopefully it's going OK!

Yeah, almost all of them do. This one was "under the bones," etc: I mostly wanted the player to be awake after reading the death note down the hall. It is pretty tough to find in retrospect, but maybe that's OK. Perhaps on the other hand, I could write a stronger hint in that note. :)
Dragon Warrior: Begin a New Quest
The last bonus bosses are mostly meant for those people who really love to grind to astronomical levels for whatever reason. BUT, every one of the monster bosses unlocked in the library has an extremely high drop rate of at least one rare item. In fact, to find a Staff of Punishment most easily, Hecate (the boss of the "Humanoid" section of the library) drops them with a 1/4 frequency. :) Evil Wands, found on one of the paths down to the Underworld, are your other option, but they drop with a 1/64 rate.
Metal Medley is tough, found in the Carnelia Cave in a pile of bones in the poisonous marsh (the "bog" that Elucidus' friend fell into and died in, in the lore found by reading the note on the same floor... those are apparently his bones.)
I'm glad you did as much as you did though - I appreciate your time and effort and I'm glad you enjoyed it! If you have any friends who might be a fan, don't hesitate to share. :)
