YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.

I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?

Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*

When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.

If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

I didn't like the drawing system at first.....but then when I understood the whole "Junction" system....I fell in love with Final Fantasy 8.

The characters (Not including Irvine and Selphie -__-)......the music.....the setting.....the story......it was all so great.

And who can forget that epic intro FMV that Final Fantasy 8 treated its players to?

It was just awesome to me.

I'm with you there.

FF8 isn't perfect (what game is?) but I absolutely love it for what it is. It's the only PS1 Final Fantasy I still own, and I used to play it for hours and hours at a time. It used to be one of my favorite games ever until I found Persona, but it still has a special place in my heart. It's not technically the best FF, but it's by far my favorite one and despite its problems, I still think it's great.

Legend of Liberace 3

I see.

I think I'll wait for the 250 download. Game looks cool though.

TOTAL CHAOS Review

Yes it was. Onyx was my first game overall, and TC was my first RPG2k3 game. I started TC almost immediately after I was done with Onyx, and I was working on both TC and Onyx 2 at the same time back in...wow.................2007! In another month, this game will be three years old.

I can't say I disagree with the review either, although I think giving it one start is a BIT harsh, since I think TC has many good points as well and you'd think after seeing the overall score, the review would have been a lot harsher than it was. For me, one star implies that everything was a failure, but that's not what I got out of this review.

But like I said, the review was extremely helpful and I totally appreciate it and got a lot out of it. Although, most of the problems TC had/have are (I believe) nonexistent in my recent games (like Complete Chaos and MMZ, for an example----even Vanity's current form, although the demo posted on the site is hella old and should be avoided at all costs). The dungeon length is MUCH, much, much shorter, more detailed, more varied and the battles are more balanced and shorter if you know what you're doing. Everything else has been improved 10 fold as well.......which one should expect after 3 years of RPGM'ing. ;p

Well, I was twelve when I made the comparison, and at the time I thought LoD's character design was similar to how an FF character would look like. Or something. I don't know, I was twelve. But that's what I thought.

I still wanted the game really bad though, and when I finally got it I was excited and played it non-stop.

I always saw Shadow Madness lying around in the video store in my early teens, and I wanted to pick it up but....I never did for some reason. I should do a blind-buy, since it's only three bucks on amazon.

I agree with what you said about LoD. It was a fairly good game, although the first thing that came to mind when I first saw it was "FF-Knock off."

On the topic of Final Fantasy games . . .

I was playing FFXII the other day and I got to the part where you visit the viera city in the forest. My girlfriend asked me why I was playing a game where you visited a magical forest full of leggy bunny women in lingerie. I then realized it was basically the Playboy mansion. It's extremely mysoginistic really.

Stretch.

They're catering to their audiences and giving them what they want (or think they want). Same reason why soap operas/dramas geered towards women/girls frequently feature shirtless/nude men. If that's what they think people want to see, that's what they'll show. Everyone does it.

FF12's battle system was the only thing I liked about it. I'm a sucker for real-time, and the battles moved along really fast (they did for me, at least).

The game was (imo) loaded with filler, though. I wish it was a couple dozen hours shorter.

It's something I really wanted to know....

Everything.

But if I had to choose: Memorable and/or lovable characters.

Basically.

I just want an entertaining plot/interesting characters. They don't have to be particularly deep. Just fun.
