How to make imported chars transparent?
Can't you edit the image's background to be an appropriate non-black colour that's not used by the sprites then choose that as the transparent colour?

Euphorian, I managed to get past the blacksmith part using the skills system only. I got past a lot of Chapter 2 but I got stuck (again) on a certain part.
It's the bit where you're going to the Citadel after you "join" Hales' side.

Well, it certainly is limited. Can't use panoramas as the DS only allows a certain number of layers but for for simple and quick games this is ok but I'm going to keep an eye on this and hope it improves more. I never have a lot of time on the PC so using a DS would be awesome.

Second Reality, stuck on the bit:
The game itself has a good battle system. Similar to The Way's Plunge or Rock, Paper Scissors. I like it a lot but the maps seem a little too dark. I'm gonna try to adjust the brightness but this is the first game I've struggled to see the map clearly. Still, excellent demo and you got the running system to work.I need to see your coding on that.
EDIT: Found my way finally and brightening the screen up helped, it helped a lot. ;)
EDIT 2: Ok so I'm on Chapter two but the game froze.
Where Adam examines an history book on some evil elf. Melody appears and says to go through the ruins. What do you do next!?

After I did 60 damage to the blacksmith, the game just hanged there.

I can't get The Frozen World to work on my Win2k PC. It stalls on start up. :(

Need help (status menu)
This seems so basic even though I don't use RMXP. Try using the database and hopefully there's a System Tab where you can select your starting party? Set the heroes to one.

Thanks for playing/enjoying guys. I fixed it though. Ewan was supposed to be playable the second round, but he wasn't, so now he is.

Oh sweet! Just a quick question, did you sprite all the battle characters yourself? If you have, that's awesome. I'm forced to do that too for my game because Rm2k3 doesn't like face down battles.
