I'm just passing by but have you played any of the Ninja Gaiden games on the NES? On the note of using controllers on the PC, don't buy a XBOX360 controller for RPG Maker games as the D-pad isn't very good for accurate movement. I prefer my old MS Sidewinder.

Forcing the player to do things that they know are wrong is a really bad idea. It results in several segments of this game being too frustrating to be fun and makes it difficult to play the game for extended periods without getting annoyed.
Just started and I'm feeling exactly like this. I see myself playing it on and off so it'll take ages before I get to the end. Good thing I'm taking notes of what I did last time.
