I like the mapping, glad your using custom sprites as well. I did the same thing with my images, because I was going to get new ones later. Don't worry about the critics here, they aren't friendly sometimes, your doing just fine with mapping, I don't see over-detail, I see good detail.

Now what is the music going to be? You using downloaded music from sites like I am?

And one more thing, how long do you expect this game to be? Is it gonna be a trilogy? What are the story details?

Okay, picture it. Small village on a small island with select few inhabitants. Don't you think that, given those conditions, a village would look like this. Compared to a bigger village in a bigger island, with actual gardeners and architects to make it look good.
There's a big difference between a dilapidated/disrepair aesthetic and upper chip spam.
