Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion Review
post=calunio
And maybe you should take some of the criticism constructively.
Which I do. I'm adjusting difficulty on various levels and fixing glitches I've never discovered before.
But some things make me regret choosing rm2k3 for the job...
Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion Review
Thanks for the review even though it didn't get off from a good start.
I'm glad the graphics worked out well.
Considering the game play, it follows a set of rules that needs better explaining to justify.
First of all, this is rm2k3. I can create a set field of view and that works well. Enemy soldiers never see further than you, so you're not always totally doomed to get alert.
The concept of range limited by objects however is a harder (if not impossible) fix. I have no idea how make that work in rm2k3.
That's why I've worked around this and adapted the game to the environment. Enemies rarely will see through walls according to their patrol routes. However, in alert mode, being in a certain range to enemies will most likely get you hurt what ever you do. But Metal Gear has never encouraged you to engage the enemy in direct combat anyway.
The trick to escape (although poorly explained) however is to leave the area without any enemies present. This is countered by the steady but not too frequently flow of reinforcements. There's also the option to enter specific areas like a "dungeon" or safe spots.
About the stealth kills: They are possible. You just need to swipe the knife more than one time. I also recommend standing behind them if you want to avoid alert. It is also possible (but a bit harder) with the patrolling soldiers.
To sum this up: This sort of game will not function completely in rm2k3. The mechanics needs better explaining. And I also suppose it depends on the kind of gamer. I've received different opinions about the game. Also, keep in mind that I'm still working things over to make as many satisfied as possible.
With this in mind, I hope you won't throw this game away. It hopefully just got off at a bad start.

Zero to Many Review Challenge 2!
post=Fallen-GrieverHey, seems my game needs some fixing. The project is not closed. I'm there's something I can make work better, I will see to it.
Hate to break it to you, but I just submitted a review for that to the site...
The game follows a set of game play rules that needs better explaining I believe.
Just cause you submitted one, no one else should?
Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion
post=narcodisThere is no walkthrough out at the moment considering the game was released quite recently.
Hey, downloaded this and it's pretty cool, I just cannot figure out where I'm supposed to go. I got my backpack, found a room with a locked locker, found a gate where I need a keycard, and found a minefield I can't get through. Is there a walkthrough or something I can peek at?
I suppose I could compose one if the demand is great enough.
EDIT: Partial walkthrough is up.

Metal Gear Solid: Lunacy of Legion
post=Iroquois_PliskinThe game is supposed to be comical and that is just one of those things.
I downloaded your first release and I loved it :) but the beginning dialogue was pretty bad, no offense. I took it into RPG Maker and edited the dialogue a bit to make it seem more like a Metal Gear game. Hope you don't mind. Also, love the game :) been trying to make a game based on Pliskin but that didn't turn out so well...
But if you don't like it, I guess there's no stopping you. Just hope it won't ruin the experience.

Where's that flame coming from? o_O
It's muzzle fire. He's shooting with the handgun. Might be a bit hard to see facing downwards.
Release!
Seems like I just discovered a few small graphical failures.
I will try to correct them when I get the chance.
