ZEUZIO'S PROFILE

Just a lizard who makes games sometimes, allegedly!

I'm a computer science student and thus learning how to code...though I also work full time to support myself so my time and energy are limited these days. Still, I hope to get back into gamedev at some point and maybe play a game or two every once and awhile. I'm wanting to maybe learn another engine such as Game Maker or Unity, though RPG's are still my main area of interest so RPG Maker will always have a place in my heart.

Intolerant, arrogant, self-important, holier-than-thou people who always claim to be speaking from a higher moral ground, and who present their topics as though only they could possibly be right.

There's no arguing with these types of people, there's no reasoning, no compromising, and no agreeing or even mutual acceptance. Part of the frustration of dealing with these people is their inherent inability to accept any opinion that isn't their own.

These people are definitely something annoying.

I have to agree, Asa.

Secrets of the Light DEMO V2.0

Alright, I'll try that.

What was the first game you ever played?

For me, I'm pretty sure the first game I ever played was Sonic 2 for the Sega Genesis.
Still my favorite of all Sonic games even today!

But, when I try to put an image in, it turns out to be broken. What do I have to do to make my screenshots work? :-\

Secrets of the Light DEMO V2.0

Secrets of the Light
The Demo has been updated! You can download it here: http://rpgmaker.net/games/772/downloads/ This new version of the demo is a big improvement over the first. More details down below:

STORY
This is part of an eight part series, although it is not the first chapter. It is actually the fourth part, because I'm doing them out of order (but in a way that still makes sense!) The story of this chapter is of four heroes who came from who knows where to defeat an evil warlock named Shade, who was sealed by a mysterious party 500 years ago because he was causing destruction to the Earth. Upon being sealed, The warlock Shade vowed to return 500 years later to cause destruction again. He, and the game starts as the four heroes begin their quest to stop Shade, for good...

CLASS SELECTION
Before you actually start the game, you must select a party of four out of eight classes, being knight, priestess, magician, elementalist, ninja, berserker, beastmaster, and monk. Each class has their own advantages and disadvantages.

GAMEPLAY
Well, to be honest, I didn't get to complicated with the gameplay here. Besides the blue magic system, There isn't much in battle scripts, and, I probably could have implemented more minigames, but, I do plan to have a lot of optional content for those that beat the game. One of those being a bonus dungeon. The game will be about 5-10 hours, and starts off pretty easy, and gradually gets pretty tough (as it should be).

THE DEMO
Features of the new demo include:
1. Fixed Bugs
2. Improved Gameplay
3. New Class Names
Although there is no new gameplay in the new version, It features significant improvements. Most of the bugs that I knew about have been fixed. Many story and the gameplay aspects have been improved. Also, the Class names have been changed to less generic titles. There is also something new called "The Training House". While in it, you can learn about some of the game's strategies and important tips. If you liked the first demo, or like RPGs in general, Give it a try!
