Well, I'm not a graphics expert either, but here's the basic idea of it. You know the drill already. Less saturated colors, three colors for sprite dark/base/light, Avoid using black for shadows, make textures subtler... I think I had already made an example for you before, didn't I? Wasn't it for this game? ...I should probably play it. ...I'm Not much a Zelda fan. ^^;

Big News and quetions

"Congratulations! Your FarFetch'd evolved into Cock'nBull!"

Also, I love how this blog has nothing to do with this game...

More info on the Apostropha

These look very cute. My favorite is the one with the snowflake-shaped tail, I guess that would be Apostrice? Heh; That's a weird sounding name... How about Cryostrophe? From Kryos (Cold) and well, Strophe (a turning) Also, it sounds like Catastrophe (Same etymological root) which is pretty badass. Just think about it. Pyrostrophe, Aquastrophe, Terrastrophe.... xD

Anyway, the idea sounds nice. Good luck implementing this!

Update #5: Possibly the biggest update so far. MUST READ!

Very well then. And you can, but not from me. =P I don't feel confident enough to write reviews. Try the forums, there's a thread were you can ask for a review and the next person who feels like writing one may take your request into consideration. Link ...Good luck!

NaGaDeMo Day 14

Well, the development of a game is slow and it may pass some time before you have another video ready. You don't have to restrict yourself that much. You could very well blog if for example you have a bunch of custom sprites you want people's input about or maybe to talk about your games features. It just has to be significant and remember to try and make it a nice read for the rest of us. =P

Game Features

It's cool then. But like I said, try to spice up your blogs at least a little next time, you could only benefit from it... Good luck with the game!

Update #5: Possibly the biggest update so far. MUST READ!

Ok, I hate to bring this up, but I really think you have yo tone down the pace of your updates. There are like two of your blogs in the frontpage at any given time! Don't you think that a bit too much? I'll give it to you that at least your blogs aren't boring one-liners like other people's, but believe me, nobody is waiting impatiently for another update of your game either.

Try and be more considerate to your fellow community members and blog at least once per week or something like that...

Significant update/new teammate

Sounds good! Miracle is all kind of awesome, and anyone would love to have him on their team in one way or another... Say, since he's helping you, is there any chance to improve the graphics a bit? Not to a full 16-bit kind of aesthetic, but just a couple more of colors in each sprite. I'm not too fond of the 8-bit look... No? Very well, then. -_-

Regarding the minigames, I like the idea. And the options are endless, you could pretty much make a small version of every other game of the era, Pacman, Dig dug, Bomber man, etc. I can see the appeal in challenging yourself to code (event?) all that stuff too, but I'd be careful no to add fluff to the game. Not all gameplay/playtime is good.

Good luck with the game!

NaGaDeMo Day 14

Hi, you sound like a reasonable guy, so I'll ask nicely... Could you please, pretty please, not blog so often? Blogs are an terrific tool to keep track of your own progress and let others know about it, but they're are not your 'dear diary' either, you know? Like all tools, you must learn to use blogs responsibly, both for your own and everybody else's sake.

No trying to discourage you, but besides a video there's barely nothing of interest in these blogs, and on an almost daily basis they're kind of pointless. You could at least blog once per week, and try and make it interesting or funny for extra points...

Game Features

For such a small announcement, you could just have posted this on the main page of the game profile. All your subscribers would still know about it. Or ideally, you could have explained briefly what kind of features you game has, how are they relevant to your game, or which ones you think make it stand out more. I don't know, man, something more creative than a one-line blog...

One-line blogs are not cool. They're boring. They push other people's blogs down who have as much right as you to talk about their games. And they make you look like you're just hogging for attention. Please, don't do it again.
