I like Hiciel's expression, and I find the little graphics very cute... Not a fan of race minigames, though. Are these optional?
Edit: Fair enough! =)

This looks great! Poor moles, though. ;_; ...But how exactly does this work? Do I see a 'Z' in there, or is some kind of a '2'?
Edit: Got it! I would have used the NumPad, though. =P

Nice! This is what I call a good distribution of on-screen elements, considering rm2k3 clunky default layout. =)

Not bad... The key to a good looking, easy to read world map is contrast and I think you got that quite well. But there are two little details that bother me. The less serious being the difference in the paper texture between land and sea, and the other being how painfully obvious is that you made the 'worn-out' borders with just strokes of a brush or the eraser tool. =P

Nice map. But the ground looks too homogeneous and boring. You should spice things up a little with patches of grass, different dirt colors/textures, or maybe some stepping stones leading to the houses' doors... Anything would do, really.

Well, if I were you I'd use a fifth color when necessary. I mean, yes, "game boy", we get it-- But it's not like you're following every rule to the 'T'. It's just a theme, a nostalgic throwback, nothing is set in stone... But hey, man, your call. =)

Yeah, like, keep the perspective but lose the curvature. Also, to make the book appear 'thicker' make the middle look bulkier. Open a book, one that was sewed(?), not glued(?), and see how it looks like. Also, lose the lines for the pages.
