I need a good scripter and also design woes.
Well, my first thought when I saw the content of this post was "Locke & FFX-2 Yuna" So... What I'm trying to say is, that putting serious thought behind your characters designs is always a good thing, but just don't try too hard. They will always resemble some other character to some people, so mostly just go with what you like. =P
ACTIVE TIME BATTLE SYSTEM
Mmh- I really don't like the sound of this... So basically all you can do is attack, right?
The ability to scan enemies should be automatic upon targeting them, because I don't really see myself wasting a turn to scan an enemy more than once with each type of enemy. You can keep tabs of such a small amount of information in your head, so why bother? ...The ability to scape from battles also sounds kinda boring if it's not influenced by anything else besides probability.
If I understand correctly, this games is based on a board game, right? And I don't know how much you may be willing to change things, but if you can it would be a nice idea to spice up this battle system some more.

Whoa! I almost had an heart attack! At first I didn't notice the the title change and I thought you were going to announce the project's cancellation or something. *phew* ...I also preferred the previous title though, (Dyad doesn't tell me anything) but it's your decision, so it's cool.

The art is only mediocre in quality/anatomy/etc, but the style and attitudes are amazing. I love it.
Yeah, anatomy is a bitch to get right... one day I'll get there, though! Just gotta keep practising. x3

And judging by the trailer alone is evident that is not going to be a boring experience at all, at least in terms of gameplay. I just hope that the story and everything else is just as engaging. But for the time being... Suuubbed!

Gameplay control physics test demo
Same here. I can't wait to play this. And since I don't own a Wii, the level of good retro Mega Man gameplay in my blood has been falling since the days of the Nes era... So please hurry! I need a transfusion asap! xD
Battle script and character skills
So, if I understood correctly, you will only be in control of one character at a time in an “active†kind of battle, right? So I guess it's gonna be like “soloing†in any other rpg. The idea does sound interesting but I hope battles don't get too lengthy or difficult...
I think a system like this could benefit a lot from any kind of aid for the player to finish battles quick and easy, so in addition to swapping speeds and equipment setups, what about unite attacks to make thing more dynamic? eg: Swaping Mielle -> Vila -> Sorionne = “Beauty Attack†Or how about using the surroundings? For example if you're fighting inside a cave then maybe you could cause a cave-in over the enemies.
But ideas abound, I guess, and that's not what you need right now. ^^;;; Sadly I can't help you with scripts since I know nothing of that, but if there is anything you think I can do, don't hesitate to ask. Meanwhile I can only wish you good luck, so, Good luck! ;P
