I just feel like I am polluting RMN and inflating my post count.
You are... But it's not nearly as bad nowadays as it was last year. Still, I'm hoping this current streak fades away sometime soon. -_-
I'll just leave this here for ivory. Or anyone who likes Attack on Titan, really.
I must have missed that. Where was it said? I know each episode has some extra info in-between 'breaks' but I'm always too lazy to pause the video and read the tiny letters - A detail that important should be introduced -in- the show, though. ...Still, this mineral could also be made into better guns, better bullets. There's no excuse, really. None, I say! Someone tell Japan ASAP!
Also random thought: Do all giants have people on the back of their necks? What do the smallest ones turned from? Babies? =S

Up until the point Eren turned into a Giant the show was Ok, then it started to slow down, and now a summary episode... Oh, well.
Rant xD

-Well, sometimes I see them grapple from structures like bell-towers and such, which I imagine are more fragile. Also several years pass in the first few episodes of the series and I suppose someone had to be out there swinging around during all that time; So, at the very least I'd expect to see marks in the walls... Actually, for a town overrun with giants the place looks quite seamless: the rooftops look impeccable, there are no debris on the streets, etc. And they do those sequences with 3D! How cheap. =B
-Yeah, I've seen they wear harnesses(?) on their legs and such, but still: to see them cover such great distances in no time, how they're able to change trajectories in fractions of a second, and the forces at which they spin just seems extremely unrealistic to me. I mean, if it were its own fantasy world I'd have an easier time suspending disbelief, but if it's true it's supposed to be like ours and they make no attempt to justify that, that's going to be lame... Just say humans evolved to be more flexible or something. xP
-But the gun thing is the mayor issue. I really cannot believe that what a blade can do a gun cannot. Guns just aren't as cool as swords, you say? Ok, but how about having them as secondary weapons? They carry shit-loads of extra weight so that doesn't seem to be an issue. Or how about a dedicated squadron with guns? Or even just civilian volunteers taking on the smallest/dumbest giants from advantage points? It's just seems unpractical not to use guns under some circumstances... And yeah, I saw that episode in which they use rifles to blind some giants. but they make it look like the technology is obsolete and I can't really swallow that.
Yeah, yeah, I know. This is why I can barely watch any shows anymore... Oh, and don't even get me started on The Walking Dead. _-_

I started watching this anime the other day and my first thought was "Why don't they use guns? They obviously have the technology for it" and "How they don't break their spines using that spider-man gear thing?" also "How come those building don't fall apart with them pocking holes in them all the time" xD It doesn't seem to be the kind of anime that doesn't take itself seriously enough not consider those kind of things. What's worse is that I read someone saying that the world it's supposed to be ours but in the future, or something like that? Which doesn't help to my suspension of disbelief. -_- ...But still, is a better anime than most. I may keep watching it.
I also took a look at the manga and the drawing blown me away. It's quite refreshing to see a manga with a more "instinctive" type of drawing, with rough lines and certain disregard to proportions, perspective, backgrounds, etc. Dunno if the author doesn't have the experience to draw in a more "technical" way like most mangas I've seen, or if he's doing it on purpose, but either way it works.

CHRONO TRIGGER IS STILL A RETARD CABBAGE
author=Sailerius
I enjoy plenty of great games. Ironically enough, most people who say "stop being so jaded" are also the people who say "any game made after 1999 sucks." Sure, I could go on about how boring and derivative the gameplay was, but the story and characters of Chrono Trigger were particularly uninteresting and as the central focus in an RPG is on its story and characters, highlighting how it has failed in that regard is all I should have to say.
I hate people jumping on the nostalgia bandwagon as much as anyone, but you should know better than to take an extreme position yourself just to compensate for that. I mean, how petty can you be? ;) ...Seriously, the story and characters are fine. One thing is if you don't find them personally appealing, but another that you lack the objectivity to find merit in them.
CHRONO TRIGGER IS STILL A RETARD CABBAGE
I played it for the first time as an adult and I can't name half the characters. It's one of the most forgettable games I've played...
You wouldn't recognize a good game even if it hit you in the head... Stop being so jaded, bro. B) You may not remember their names, but a bunch of characters from across time, getting to the bottom of a problem spawning eras, is not something you see everyday. You'd have a better argument attacking the game based on its mechanics alone than anything else: story, characters, music, pacing, even its graphics. Technical aspects aside, Chrono Trigger is still a game with plenty of depth.
RMN’s: Strip Loose Comics Issue 1: “Liberty Does A Thing”
What's truly nefarious about the "powers-that-be" penchant for events, is that they first urge the people to pollute the site with half-assed stuff, and because of their inability to properly judge these events (We're still waiting for the results of the past two events) they create another event to trick US into doing THEIR job... Well played, people in the top echelons of the community. Well played. :|
