Yeah, that speeding analogy is so over-the-top that is actually kinda funny. But I'm doing nothing of the sort here, I'm just approaching people with a piece of advice, people who I realize are new and don't know any better... I'm also confident that many regulars think like I do even if they can't be bothered to do what I do or don't fully agree with my methods.
Oh, and "The Powers That Be" ...I really don't know that make of them. There has been 'some' dialogue but more often than not I see no interest of them to even acknowledge the issue. Geez! If they really wanted a solution they could be doing the very same thing that I'm doing, and it would carry so much weight! Enough to deter most offenders... but nooooo.

Well, the first thing that you need to settle about is what kind of 'theme' you want for your graphics to have and then be consistent about it. A comic strip? A kid's drawing? A scrapbook? ...Right now the graphics are good but not good enough. They're rather 'standard' and I can't really tell what is that you want to convey with them.
Also, I think you should come up with an specific color palette, and one that is more in tune with this kind of game. For example: green grass is boring, but a pastel, blueish-green grass is more fun... You also need to tone down a bit your gradients and choose well your textures. Again, all in accordance with the 'theme' of your game.

FANTASIA:Taking a short break
That's cool and all, but this announcement alone was not worthy of a blog. You could just have posted it as a comment on the game page... Well, now I just hope your brother doesn't blog about the same thing because that would be helluva redundant.
Also, have a safe trip! ...I guess.
Edit:
Short answer: No. ...Now, don't make me post the long one.

So... putting something in hiatus is not worth a blog post...?

That looks really cool! This is the first time I see the game in action and I'm very impressed at how it "feels". I love the way the character flips when he turns around and I find these environment manipulation skills very creative/interesting... That being said, perhaps should start working on a better "look" as well. I find the graphics rather dull for a cartoony game. =P

I don't understand why the internet insist on doing things under wraps. I realize this is not the best place to bring this kind of thing up, but is far better than doing it on private. This way you and everybody else can see what I write and reflect upon it. I believe in open discussion and I can stand by every word I type; I'm not the kind who goes around being a dick to everyone just for kicks.
Also, causing drama? Demanding attention? Deriding people who are providing their work for free? xD Are you sure you're not talking about your own post here? Because, I was being like 10% extra polite with this user since I had never seen him doing anything like this before. And I was making a fairly reasonable plead about the whole issue... and along comes you. Ranting. =P

And, Nick, you're right. I'm no mod, and I don't pretend to be one either. I have no authority, but I believe is my "civic duty" to bring attention to other users about this subject. I was trying to reason with you what you -should- do you and why it's considered a -good- thing. But if you're the kind of person who needs 'rules' to behave in a certain way... well, that's another issue altogether.

Hi, there. Sorry to bring this up here, but I noticed you posted two blogs in a row and that's just not cool, man. It not only looks bad, but you're also taking away exposure from other games in the front page by boosting yours. You should have included the information of both blogs in one single post or wait a couple of days before making the other one; This way more people can get a chance at getting their games noticed... I hope you don't do this again! (And fix this one if that's not too much to ask)

Hi! ...Can you guess why I'm here? =)
Edit: Ok, let me break it down to you. This announcement alone is not worthy of a blog. You could have either post it as a comment in your gamepage, or preferably include it in a well thought-out blog post about the development of your game.

Update #12: DEMO #2
1.- Which makes things even worse. Your previous blogs could have been one single solid blog post instead of many crappy ones.
2.- So you are really going to blog again tomorrow for one measly password for the 7 people interested in you game, eh? Wow...
Laugh all you want, man, but I'm still right. Even Kentona has approached you on this issue and you keep doing it. Way to go! =|

Update #12: DEMO #2
Hey, look! More pointless blogs! ...Some people just don't get it, do they? =/
Hey, I don't want to sound rude or anything but- Geez! Are you even trying? There's lots more you could have done with this blog. Like, telling us what changes between the first demo and this one. Have you made any improvements? What have you learned in term of game design? ...Oh, and don't tell me you are planning on blogging again tomorrow with this 'Password gimmick' you have going on here. I mean, why would you even want to hype your game in such a way? Just tell us already, and please don't make any more crappy blogs.
