CAN WE KEEP THE YELLOW BANNER, I'VE ALREADY GROWN ATTACHED TO IT

I'll make sure it only shows up for you. All the time. Just because.

[FORUM] Registering blocked?

author=NeverSilent
So I've seen a number of new users appear over the course of the last few days again, which is of course a good thing. But does that mean registering is open again now, or have you found a different solution? I'm just curious.

Registering is open again. Should probably remove this topic from the important section...

[FORUM] Registering blocked?

This seems like a nuclear option, but if it's that serious, it might be worth a try (at least in the short term): https://perishablepress.com/block-tough-proxies/

Basically, it will block proxy access through both PHP and .htaccess files. This is all assuming legit users aren't using the site via proxies, of course.

Alternatively, I'm sure he will lose interest just as soon as the next Minecraft update is released.

We aren't using PHP and Apache is sitting behind a proxy, so .htaccess is not an option.

I'd also hate to just blanket ban proxies, because some people need to use a proxy to browse the net.

I'll turn registrations back on once I give the site more options for dealing with spammers, will probably be over the weekend.

Youtube vids broken?

Ok, I've updated the code for YouTube videos to use the YouTube embedded player. Should fix this issue.

Youtube vids broken?

The videos are blank for me in Chrome as well. This usually happens when there is an update for Chrome that I have not applied yet (like there is right now!).

I will transition the YouTube tags away from flash to HTML5 like I did with the music tags.

EDIT: Nope, still broken after updating Chrome.

Something odd I noticed

That is definitely it, because i haven't been able to log in from all my mobile utensils. Not even firefox on pc recognizes the website as legal.

That just means that some things on the site (avatars / other images links) are hosted on sites using http instead of https.

Something odd I noticed

This is probably because we switched to SSL after the crash and the Wii U/3DS browsers don't support the certificate and/or protocols we are using.
