ARIEDONUS'S PROFILE

I have been fiddling with RPG Maker on and off for six or so years, and in becoming so accustomed to it, have been reluctant to learn to hard code anything. Despite that, I plan on going to school for Game Design, because I -love- making games (although I have yet to finish one, haha). I'm also pretty terrible at coming up with an interesting block of text about myself, so I am going to end this here! :D

Proper Enemy Design II of V
I would really love to see you continue this series, as I am having to teach myself a lot of this stuff as I go along. A little more direction/theory would be great to help make it more intuitive for me.
So far, though, I like this series. Very helpful. :]

Battle Graphics Questions
Yeah. I always create a brand new file and copy/paste the files I want to edit into it. This assures they are being edited in the highest color depth. After I'm finished, I use Irfanview to reduce the colors and it all works fine from there. :]

Do the item messages scroll marquee-style or are you forever left to wonder what the rest of its description is? Haha
Battle Graphics Questions
If you have a photo editing program that supports layers (Photoshop comes to mind, although GraphicsGale supports it too, I believe), you can simply make the bottom layer your battlers and the top layer your weaponry. Line it all up that way and voila!
Just make sure that when you're editing it, you're doing so in the best color depth, then downgrade it afterward with Irfanview or something. Rm2k3 is real picky about that stuff and you could end up with your graphic quality decreased if you don't do the color depth correctly.
EDIT: This topic is more appropriate for the Help & Requests forum, so it will probably be moved once a mod stops in.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself...
I have a game in the works where all the characters are named after food.
For some reason, I think you might relate to it.
Anyway, welcome to RMN. :D
